The man that helped us get going was great! We rented two e-bikes and headed out to Jenny Lake. We were told that the bikes had a range of 100 miles. From the beginning of the ride my husbands bike was struggling to give accurate readings, so he kept it in eco mode. We should have called and asked them to pick up the bikes at this point because obviously something was not working on his bike. Going to Jenny Lake and back was 45 miles. On the way back, his bike quit about 10 miles out. It made for an absolutely terrible ride for him!! The bike and battery are pretty heavy, so he was dealing with a lot of extra weight from the bike. It slowed him down and we both got stuck in hail about a mile away from the bike shop.I took over riding his bike for a mile to give him and break and it was awful. He is in pain from the ride and it was much harder than it should have been for him. A woman offered a 20 percent discount, which made our total $150. I honestly feel they should have not charged for my husbands rental that didn’t work correctly for the entire ride, but...

I rented an e-bike for a week while visiting the Tetons. E-Bikes of Jackson Hole was one of the few places that would rent multiple days and their pricing is very reasonable! They are located on the main drag just as you enter the town of Jackson. We stopped in town to pick up the bike before heading into the national park. I haven't ridden a bike in 40 years and was nervous, but this is the place to begin! There is a gentle, dedicated bike trail all the way from the town of Jackson to Jenny Lake. There is also a trail from Jackson to just beyond the ski resort on Teton Pines Road. The first day, we drove to the Moose Visitor's Center and rode a round trip to Jenny Lake and back. The second, we rode from our condo in the Aspens to beyond the ski resort and back. Other days, we puttered here and there and the last day we rode into town to return the bike (Hubby went back to get the car on his road bike while I shopped in town.) I recently entrusted E-Bikes of Jackson Hole to retrofit my beloved cargo bike to electric- and I am so happy I did! The quality of mechanic’s care I received was top notch. My bike (which presented complications) seemed to be an enjoyable challenge for the owner, Chris, to find solutions. He did,always communicating clearly to exceed my level of satisfaction. I am very particular and could not have been more pleased with the outcome of my now super-powered bike! The level of customer service amongst the staff left me with a renewed sense of good Jackson character. Everyone is happy to help with a smile. I also had time to parouse the big selection of rentals and bikes for sale. It seems like there’s something to fit everyone and again the staff goes above and beyond to give directions, fit bikes, etc. to make the best experience for folks.
