Left that place in quite a bad mood. I walked in to pick up my order and there were two people already checking out so I stood nearby them, patiently waiting my turn. The two wait staff/cashiers did not acknowledge me, but I’m sure they saw me enter since the doorway is less than 5 ft from the counter and that’s where I was standing. A woman walks in with her kid and I open the door for them and stepped to the side while the woman thanked me, as civilized people often do- or so I thought. The cashiers still have not acknowledged either of us, but did acknowledge a group of people who walked in afterwards and told them to sit wherever they want if they aren’t picking up. When one of the people ahead of us in line was finished, the woman that just walked in went and stood in front of the open cashier who did not bother to ask if I was next since I’ve been standing there for 5 minutes, but instead, asks the woman, ”are you picking up?” and begins ringing her up. The woman did not have the manners to ask if I was next either even though I was clearly there before her so I had to speak up and say I was picking up my order as well. At this point everyone finally looks over at me, but no apologies from either cashier or woman. I think the cashier realized her lack of customer service and began to ring up my order simultaneously.
To top that all off, the pizza by the slice I got was way overdone, so the cheese was all burnt and rubbery as shown in the picture (excuse my excess red pepper flakes and parmesan as I was trying to add better flavor to mask the taste). This wasn’t a stellar pizza spot to begin with. I’ve dined here before and it was okay. At least that time, the waitress was great and I didn’t have to deal with the front wait staff. I only come here since they were the only place nearby that I found does pizza by the slice, but even that’s not worth it, apparently.
tl;dr Customer service needs some work and so does...
Read moreToday is my 66th birthday. My daughter knows I love Al's spaghetti and meatballs., so she ordered some to be delivered to me. Now, I am homebound, using an electric wheelchair to get around. The delivery person was told he couldn't leave my food at the front desk, so he called my daughter who called me and told me to go to the office I had a package. When I got down there, the office staff told me the delivery person was going to leave with my food! He ended up leaving it on a small table with brochures. He just left it there! The office called me before someone came along and scooped it up which has happened before here! Bottom line, the food is great but your treatment of disabled elders and lack of empathy has just cost you this family's business. Our friends may not like it very much either. No more Al's for me...that was very hurtful and my daughter would have also been hurt as well had that person spoiled my surprise. Goodbye to Al's Pizza..My family and I refuse to support people with such a gross lack of compassion...
Read moreNormally their pizza is delicious. If they could find a way to make it correctly each time. First I ordered a slice of peoperoni. It came out completely black on the bottom--you could smell it at least a foot away. I decided then to get my usual small extra pepperoni light cheese pizza (since I am lactose-intolerant). I received a small pepperoni and extra cheese pizza and obviously sent it back. The manager proceeded to pull me aside and explain how they make their pizzas and how long they train their "chefs"--completely embarrassing and insulting time--and then after I cancelled my order the bartender told me to leave and she would take care of my tab and to not come back. I wasnt even yelling at her and am infuriated and will NEVER be back to this location. Do not visit this "restaurant", the only thing worth it is their "Thirsty Thursday" and it is not worth the company and food inconsistency. As someone who has worked in the food industry for 10 years, I have never been treated, nor treated anyone, like I have been...
