New review for Mr. Andy’s Chicken: After this place switched ownership, I wasn’t very happy with my meal here. I came back two more times just to make sure I didn’t catch them on a bad day. After all, this was one of my favorite places to visit. I’m really let down and sad. I used to go to Andy’s Chicken for 2 things: Chicken(of course) and Bulgogi. Let’s start with the fried chicken. I’m not gonna pretend to know exactly what magic they used to use at Andy’s to make the chicken taste so good. It used to have the extra crispness of being double fried and whatever great seasoning they used. Now with Mr. Andy’s it just tastes bland, and not much crisp to it. It also seemed to be overcooked. The biggest letdown, though is the Bulgogi. It used to be my favorite item on the menu. The meat was seasoned perfectly and the egg was done over easy to mix into the rice. Now the beef is over cooked and tastes like it hasn’t been seasoned at all. Plus the egg is overdone. I fully understand that this is a new company and I expect there to be some changes but all they seem to really change is they added some new items on the menu that I could care less about. The only saving grace is at the customer service is still really nice. If this new ownership could somehow find some of that old magic, I would definitely be coming back.
Old review for Andy’s Chicken: The best fried chicken around, but don’t forget the bulgogi. It’s double fried Korean style so it’s nice and crisp. The meat is always great quality too. I’ve tried several other fried chicken places and they’re okay. But Andy’s blows them away. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Great location too being across from a coffee and ice cream shop. Not sure the name of the young man that always takes the order and gets the food, but he’s...
Read moreMy husband and I were so excited to try this place. We use to live near HMart and would get Korean fried chicken from the food court so we were so happy that one opened up near us. But we are kind of disappointed. We got the original chicken, onion rings and bulgogi. The drum and the thighs were good but the breading was not great. When we got to the breast it was super dry and the breading didn't stick on properly when they were fried. By the end the breading just got too much and we couldn't eat it anymore. I don't know if maybe the sauced chicken is better then just the original. But what we got just wasn't good. The onion rings, from the image on the menu seem like you would get a normal amount but instead we got 4 pieces and they're not large pieces. From the price of them it seemed like they would give more in an order. The bulgogi was good but the image on the menu is deceiving it looks like you would get a lot more and the egg was overly cooked unlike the sunny side up egg that was shown in the photo. We didn't go when it was super busy so I couldn't say that our food wasn't great because they were rushing. I would give this place less stars but I still want to support them and I want this new store...
Read moreI think this is my first time getting food from here and it’s actually really good. I have Korean friends so I’ve eaten a lot of bulgogi in my life and this is just as good as any other Korean place I’ve gone to. I assumed my nephews would like the one with no sauce so I got that and they actually enjoyed the ones with so I feel like I made a mistake. I ordered Korean sweet chili and that was really good and honey garlic and also very good. I got the bulgogi rice bowl. My only complaint was the egg was hard boiled so the yolk was all in it and I didn’t love that. But overall I think it’s 5 stars because that was really my only problem. The sides are very small too I guess that’s another complaint because the size of the side is a small at like McDonalds probably. Like a little paper bag. All in all very good and I would go back again for sure And also the girl who answered the phone just said “hello” and that was it. Didn’t state what the place was or anything Just wasn’t the best communicator to be the one who answers the phone. She answered it when I was in front of her too and said hello again so it’s just...
