Located in the heart of Indian Street in Jersey Ave., journal square .. if you’re looking for a perfect Indian tea shop experience do visit this place.. I think they sell a few other things like bubble tea, etc. but I was here only to taste Indian chai.. interior is good and there are five or six seats to sit and sip. Service was pretty good and the price is normal. I paid about 2 1/2 dollars for a chai.. parking is a big headache in this area.. getting a free parking or roadside parking is next to impossible.. I had to pay 4$ an hour parking to have a 2 1/2 dollar chai.. :) Chai taste was just super super duper ! I ordered the Masala chai and it tasted so authentic.. I’m generally not a tea guy, but this one made me drink the whole glass.. perfect blend of tea and Masala.. I wish they had other snacks like samosa , vadai, bajji etc. To go with the tea… just like tea shops in India.. would be awesome to see a hot chai and eat a piece of masala Vada.. Good experience overall. .. 4 stars .. āļøāļøāļøāļø

I recently enjoyed a delightful experience with my friends where we had Zafrani Chai, Irani Chai, Bun Maska, and Osmania Biscuits. Each item was absolutely delicious the Zafrani Chai had a rich, aromatic flavor with just the right hint of saffron, while the Irani Chai was smooth, creamy, and perfectly brewed. The Bun Maska was soft and buttery, a perfect complement to the tea, and the Osmania Biscuits were fresh, slightly sweet, and wonderfully crumbly. The overall ambiance of the place added to the experience, and I must mention the staff they were extremely courteous, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Their warm hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. It was a memorable outing, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to relax and savor some authentic flavors.

Visited this place yesterday, and the experience was quite overwhelming. The staff was welcoming, and we specifically went for their much-hyped Irani Chai—which they even recommended. They informed us there’d be a 15-20 min wait since the chai had to be freshly prepared, so we decided to wait. In the meantime, we ordered the Fudge Brownie Crepe, which turned out to be quite unique! The combination of strawberries, Nutella, and brownie was a solid 6/10 for me. Finally, the Irani Chai arrived… and as a hardcore chai lover, that first sip was pure disappointment. It tasted like a basic dip-bag tea, nowhere near the rich, aromatic Irani chai I expected. Not worth the hype at all—I can make a better cup at home! Definitely not satisfied with it.

Stopped by Misree Chai with wife #2 for a light vibe — Nutella croissant and Zafrani chai combo, 10/10 no notes. Place is super cute. Lighting? Perfect for selfies. Ambiance? A+ for both romance and running for your life.

We’re sitting by the window, planning a ā€œclean eatingā€ lifestyle while dunking Osmania biscuits in full cream tea. Suddenly, wife #1 walks in holding a Protein Acai Bowl and betrayal in her eyes. I told wife #2, ā€œI think that lady thinks I’m her ex… let’s just stare at the wall.ā€

While doing damage control via eye contact and lies, wife #3 pulls up with her cousin to try the Virgin Mojito. I dove behind the counter, grabbed a broom, and told staff I was their new part-time janitor named ā€œSameer with two Es.ā€

And then—of course—wife #4 calls me from outside the store, asking, ā€œIs that you inside? I swear I saw your shoulders.ā€ I replied, ā€œNope, I’m home. That must be one of those guys with the same hoodie. Happens all the time. Chai guys just look alike.ā€

Still finished my drink. Still escaped with my dignity dented but intact.

Would I recommend Misree Chai? 100%. Would I come again? Absolutely — just not during peak hours or with any woman who knows...

A Taste of Hyderabad in Jersey at Misree Chai Misree Chai has become my cherished weekend ritual, and for good reason. Their Irani chai is a revelation, instantly transporting me back to the bustling tea stalls of Hyderabad. Each sip is a comforting taste of home, a perfect blend of warmth and flavor that truly hits the spot. Beyond the exceptional chai, the service at Misree Chai is consistently welcoming and attentive. The staff are always friendly, adding to the overall pleasant experience. And let's not forget the delightful Usmania biscuits – the perfect accompaniment to the Irani chai, just as they are back home. The only slight drawback is the popularity of this gem. Misree Chai isn't very spacious, and it tends to get quite crowded, especially during the early evenings. While this speaks volumes about the quality of their offerings, be prepared for a cozy atmosphere and potentially a short wait. Despite the occasional bustle, Misree Chai is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Irani chai and a taste of Hyderabad in Jersey. It's more than just a tea shop; they also have a lot of varieties...
