Stopped by Misree Chai with wife #2 for a light vibe — Nutella croissant and Zafrani chai combo, 10/10 no notes. Place is super cute. Lighting? Perfect for selfies. Ambiance? A+ for both romance and running for your life.

We’re sitting by the window, planning a “clean eating” lifestyle while dunking Osmania biscuits in full cream tea. Suddenly, wife #1 walks in holding a Protein Acai Bowl and betrayal in her eyes. I told wife #2, “I think that lady thinks I’m her ex… let’s just stare at the wall.”

While doing damage control via eye contact and lies, wife #3 pulls up with her cousin to try the Virgin Mojito. I dove behind the counter, grabbed a broom, and told staff I was their new part-time janitor named “Sameer with two Es.”

And then—of course—wife #4 calls me from outside the store, asking, “Is that you inside? I swear I saw your shoulders.” I replied, “Nope, I’m home. That must be one of those guys with the same hoodie. Happens all the time. Chai guys just look alike.”

Still finished my drink. Still escaped with my dignity dented but intact.

Would I recommend Misree Chai? 100%. Would I come again? Absolutely — just not during peak hours or with any woman who knows...

Despite the occasional bustle, Misree Chai is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Irani chai and a taste of Hyderabad in Jersey. It's more than just a tea shop; they also have a lot of varieties...

Located in the heart of Indian Street in Jersey Ave., journal square .. if you’re looking for a perfect Indian tea shop experience do visit this place.. I think they sell a few other things like bubble tea, etc. but I was here only to taste Indian chai.. interior is good and there are five or six seats to sit and sip.

Service was pretty good and the price is normal. I paid about 2 1/2 dollars for a chai.. parking is a big headache in this area.. getting a free parking or roadside parking is next to impossible.. I had to pay 4$ an hour parking to have a 2 1/2 dollar chai.. :)

Chai taste was just super super duper ! I ordered the Masala chai and it tasted so authentic.. I’m generally not a tea guy, but this one made me drink the whole glass.. perfect blend of tea and Masala.. I wish they had other snacks like samosa , vadai, bajji etc. To go with the tea… just like tea shops in India.. would be awesome to see a hot chai and eat a piece of masala Vada..
