Usually have a good time here, but tonight I went for a fun outing on July 4th, and had to deal with the rude bartender. Matter of fact, Everytime this guy is there, he's not very nice to me. I don't know if it's racism or just a bad attitude, but first I said I came for the party. He made a face and said "it's always a party." The text I received said there was a party, I figured an employee would be aware of that. Then I handed him my phone with a coupon, he put my phone on the counter instead of handing it back to me. Then I saw him ask the other bartender for a pen to check my five dollar bill, which I thought was ridiculous. I said I come here all the time, why would I use fake money! He then complained about me using a coupon, which the bar sends out to regular customers on the mailing list. I felt very insulted and bewildered after that interaction. Never in my life have I heard of someone using a fake $5 bill, let alone being accused of such a thing. I usually visit on nights other bartenders are there. Max is great. Most of the other past bartenders have also been great. But this guy is terrible, and I think he's one of the managers or owners? This is the only bars that serves good cider, which is why I visit. The other bartenders have been amazing. But I stopped visiting as frequently after my last encounter with this guy- I guess he thought I forgot. After this visit, it may be my last. I started to walk out when I saw him, and now I wish I did. If a business cannot respect me as a long time customer, then they don't deserve...
Read moreI have been patronizing Pint since I moved to Jersey City in 2016. I lived in Manhattan for many years and I love Jersey City, and have been very pleased with my choice to move across the river, Jersey City often gets a bad rap in terms of urban feel and what it has to offer. Pint is such a unique friendly gay bar that there is really nothing like it in Manhattan, and itâs primarily because of the warm, funny and welcoming staff. (be sure to follow them on Instagram, their posts are Hilarious) While the space is small, there is literally a reason to go every night of the week. Not that I do that regularly lol, but they have bingo and trivia nights and the weekend parties are the best. They have a huge selection of draft beerâŠ. not that I know anything about thatâŠ. Iâm strictly vodka, but Iâve seen their list and itâs quite robust. Itâs a great place to go with friends although donât be afraid to show up alone, the Pint staff will Always make you...
Read moreI was a regular pre-COVID going back to 2017-2019, but did not come by as much in 2020-2021 as I was playing it safe.
Since then though I've become a regular once again. Every night I've been here has been a fun and positive experience. All of the bartenders over the years have been fantastic. Was sad to see some of them leave (Jason, John...among others). All are friendly, open, and overall just make you feel at home. The other regular patrons are the same way.
The drinks are affordable and there are always new beers to try. My personal favorite is their sangria, which they also change up every so often. You can also play your own music in the bar on the Rockbot app which is so amazing.
It's pretty difficult to find a local bar like Pint. It's just one of those gems that you can always return to whether it's a chill night or more of a turn up,...
