This place is scamming people with an 8% credit card fee!!

It’s illegal to profit from credit card fees, so they can only charge the amount incurred by the credit card company which we’ll say is 3%. But they charge 8% for what reason exactly? Sounds like a struggling business trying to save itself by robbing from the customers.

They also pass this charge onto debit cards which is illegal, too. Only credit cards fees can be passed onto the consumer not debit card fee.

Neither of these things are legal, even if they display a sign stating so. Beware of the scam.

Stay away from this place.

Edit: I gave these guys some time (four months) to see if they’d correct their mistake and I noticed they took their sign down stating an 8% credit or debit card fee and decided I’d give them a chance. Upon paying they disclosed an $3 fee for all cards, even though I paid with a debit card. My hair cut was $35 meaning the $3 fee works out at 8.5%.

This is illegal and no surcharges or convenience fees can be applied to debit cards.

Shady business looking to offset their costs onto the customers - steer clear...

I made an appointment for 2 hours after opening, and showed up, only for the shop to be locked ,nobody present and nobody answering the phone. Google listed them as open, and they accepted the appointment. That's just bad business. I don't know if they've closed or something, but if you're going to keep taking appointments, you should be open and if you aren't open, you should stop taking appointments on your website.

Update: they reached out (same day) and let me know the location was temporarily closed for renovations and Google and the booking sight were informed to not allow booking at this location, but didn't update things. I don't want to leave this a s a bad review for them, since it seems to not be their fault. I'm reserving future judgement for the next time I need a haircut.

I am so impressed. As a man of color it can be difficult to find a barber who listens, cross checks and follows through with your requests. Alex did all of that and went above and beyond. The shop is classy, calming and exceptionally clean. He takes pride in his tools and equipment as well as his work. I had a few things I wanted done or concerns, one being that I have very sensitive skin and will have burns or barbers rash from poor cutting skills and or misaligned trimmer teeth etc. He made sure I was comfortable, his demeanor was cool, he intuitively stopped any discomfort before it started. I was relaxed, my skin safe and not a single red line or mark on my skin. Alex is a professional. It was an...
