I have been to a MOD Pizza before and was impressed, but the experience at this location was rather disappointing. I placed an online order, which proved to be a mistake. The order was 30 minutes late, and the pizza crust was burnt to chard. The employees certainly were trying their best but were visibly overwhelmed; disorganized, clustered work space with very little structure for the orders. On top of this, they also had to deal with people in the same situation who were upset with their late orders, while serving both online and incoming orders. This had a major impact on the service and accuracy, and the amount of stress and pressure on the employees from the messy system as a whole just seems unreasonable. I would be stressed too in an environment packed with a never-ending flow of people just kind of waiting wherever they can, which just adds to the overwhelming atmosphere. As mentioned before, the pizza was (again)… disappointing. The crust was burnt, and it was rather mediocre. The sauce was good, but the rest just reminded me of eating a saltine cracker (thanks to the thin, burnt crust and salty flavor). So, overall, not a good experience, but I am willing to try it again. I do think they need to listen to their employees better or at least give...
Read moreMOD is killer! I had no idea; I've been shrugging it off because every pizza place has had custom pizzas anyway, so I didn't see the point.
It's much more customizable than most pizza places. Think Chipotle, but for pizza. I ordered mine with BBQ base, some garlic and basil on the bottom, and all sorts of meats. You can add as many toppings as you'd like for one flat price, which is also unique in the pizza industry right now.
Additionally, they have some toppings I don't know any pizza place to have - - corn, chick peas, artichoke hearts, Korean BBQ Chicken, bell peppers, and many different types of sausages and meats.
On top of that, other things I look for when rating, the restaurant was fully staffed, the staff were kind and helpful, and the bathrooms and facilities were clean. I'm totally converted. MOD is dope, and this specific restaurant was a great intro to the business.
Price was $9.49 for an 11". We also got a mega-size salad, which has the same perks as the pizzas -- unlimited toppings. A great take-home...
Read moreWhen I first walked through the door I thought oh my goodness finally a pizza place I can actually eat at, you see I have a severe gluten allergy and I can’t eat out at restaurants very much or I have to be very careful in what I eat, well upon ordering I explained to the lady that I have a severe gluten sensitivity and she proceeded to tell me that there will be cross contamination in my food because they don’t take any precautions to ensure that I can eat without getting sick she said yes the dough is gluten free but they use all the same utensils as they do with all pizza’s and the still run it across the counter as with every other pizza. Here is my thought if you claim to be gluten free than you should take precautions to be gluten free.there are so many of us that have this allergy and it is a serious one I feel that you should take gluten allergies serious how can you advertise to be gluten free if your really not...
