Where do I start... I have mixed feelings on this hotel. Back in April I physically went in and set up a block of rooms for my October wedding. We signed a contract and filled out a credit card authorization form. We were supposed to have a certain amount of rooms under our block, a suite for myself and the groom and the conference center for the day after the wedding. I put all the info on my invites and sent them out. About a month ago, something just told me to call and check to make sure everything was ok. Thank god I did, because they had no recollection of my room block, my suite or us having the conference center. After going back and forth with different employees on the phone, I finally had enough and had to leave work early and go to the hotel to figure out what was going on. I was able to speak with the gm (Lisa, I believe her name was) and she was very apologetic and listened to me when I told her I already had hair, make up and photography appointments set up for them to come to this hotel. I explained how upset I was that all this time I had guests trying to book under my room block and their staff basically turned them away because my guests were told there was not a block- long story short she made it right with us and was very pleasant about it. She gave us two suites so my guys could get ready in one, girls in the other, added on a few rooms for guests and gave us the conference center. I was very pleased at how she went above and beyond to make things better in such a stressful time. However, I had a guest call to book a room after all of that and they were told there were no rooms. So I called and spoke to the gm again- and it was a mix up in communication and she made it right once again. Then, I had a guest who booked under the room block and was charged a higher rate than what we were told. Very frustrating when they expect one price and are hit with another. The day before my wedding I went to get checked into the hotel and there was a little confusion on what rooms I was supposed to have, but they got us into the two suites and gave us a Mountain View which was nice. Fast forward to the day we needed to check out of our rooms and get the conference center- what a joke. We stood at the front desk for probably 8+ mins ringing the bell and listening to the phone ring and ring. Looked outside and the gal that was working the front desk was out talking to someone and getting her breakfast from them. I literally stood in the doorway staring at her and she finally came in and never once apologized for us having to wait or even acknowledged the fact that we had been sitting there waiting. We got checked out and told her we needed the conference center- she then had to go find the keys, got us in there and it was a mess. The tables were all out of line, crumbs on the floors and chairs, empty bottles on the floor and no trash can to be found. They never asked if we needed anything for the room, she basically just opened there door and said there ya go. I hate to sit her and bash this hotel because they did try to make things right for us- but it was just one issue after another and some of their staff was very unprofessional. It’s just sad that you have to constantly have to jump through hoops to make sure you are getting what you are supposed to be getting. I would think twice before you book with this place for something as important as a wedding. Nice clean hotel and management was great,...
Read moreCheck-in ok. Got email to "Complete your pre-arrival check-in using the link below". Got almost through the entire process of entering information when there's a message at the end that says this hotel does not accept pets if you bring a pet there is a $250 charge. Of course now I'm freaking out now because I booked this room over a month ago, call up the hotel and find out it's a glitch with the software. They do accept pets, thanks for giving me a heart attack for no reason.
Breakfast stops at 9am.(M - F) Which is too early. If you get there at 845 there isn't any fruit, very few sausage, or hot food. At this point the staff congregate in the middle of the room having loud conversations. On Tu they brought out more food.
Almost daily: ( M - W ) hot food is potatoes, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Patty and link sausages (ok) Scrambled eggs are pulverized into almost a powder. Potatoes um- I don't know, can you cook frozen potatoes in a microwave? Then throw them in a pan and slightly brown them? That's kind of what they tasted like. Waffle maker, apples, orange and apple juice, cereal (Frosted flakes or Raisin bran), slixed bread, bagels, cookies, coffee (medium roast), and ice tea.
Fri - Sun breakfast was better, they had biscuits ( dry and crumbly - probably because they had been sitting out since 6am.), gravy (ok-canned) , and scrambled eggs that were tolerable.
Monday also had Bisquit egg sausage sandwich - ok.
Room was clean, and didn't smell like pet urine like most pet friendly places do. They have a dorm size microwave & frig with the freezer. Windows only open 3" (2nd floor). Beds comfortable. Good water pressure in shower. The biggest problem with room is lack of USB outlets. There are only 3 in the desk, and they don't work.
There were a group of people that kind of took over the patio bbq area, enough so that you feel uncomfortable going out there to cook.
There are only 4 handicap spots out front, and they were full daily.
There are some grassy areas along the street for pets, but a little busy for the skittish, especially with the construction going on next door.
Overall, nice rooms and excellent front desk staff. However the included breakfast...
Read moreLet me say that this hotel could be great as the rooms are nice and the beds are great. BUT the staff is just down right rude. The room we had was filthy under the bed and a few doors down from construction they had going on. Breakfast was not that great (not a huge issue for us but might be for you). We got wake up calls two of the mornings we were there from the construction (did not move after first time because we figured they would only be working the weekdays and it was Friday, we were wrong). Wife was unable to work due to the noise the construction was causing. Told the staff we were unhappy with our stay and got a "sorry" response and nothing else. We ended up leaving a dress shirt and key fob from our rental car in the room when we checked out and did not realize until we were back in Denver. Called hotel and were told they would check and give us a call back (still had family in Loveland that could pick it up). Finally got a call around 4 ish that they had it. We had a family member drive to the hotel and the front desk lady was completely rude to her and told her they did not have the items. We called the lady that had called us and was told the the front desk was wrong and the items were there. Family member drove back and did have a much better interaction with a new staff member and was able to get items. Staff being rude/lazy was a normal issue at the hotel.
UPDATE: As you can see they responded to my review and still did not even attempt to correct the issue with me. All they did was share my review with their staff, which I had already shared my issues with the front desk as stated in my review. Simply bad service from the top on down! Find another hotel in Loveland or one of the great Airbnb's all over the area (which is what we...
