As a long time fan of Cheba and lover of the two north Fort Collins locations we were happy this was near to our new home, and rushed there after getting to another dinner spot that was closing early for an unclear reason.Upon ordering a drink we were told the cups were out and given small ones, with no lid available, for free. After ordering and watching about 6 more guests roll through after us I went back up to order a soup. I was told that this was unfortunate because they just got backed up, we’re low on staff, and it would take at least 30 minutes. I had the time but felt like I was being encouraged not to order so I passed, as a fellow service industry worker, so they could catch up. After seated the staff were quite frazzled as one woman with keys went around and locked each door. It was alarming that the entire time we were there the ingredients that should be 42 degrees or less were just sitting out on a counter, yes that’s a stack of meat you see in this photo. It did seem like a refrigerator issue was happening but unsafe food handling is unacceptable. To my surprise I saw customers being turned away in this backed up period. I did notice the gentlemen helping us was very kind and attentive, and definitely helping our experience be salvaged, if staff had name tags I would thank him again! It was upsetting to my family to see two guests arriving at the same time as us who seemed to be friends with the manager get excellent service. They received hot pretzel bites hand delivered before anyone in the lobby waiting. They were special enough for large drink cups we asked to pay for, and the same frazzled manager even asked my man to get up out of his seat so she could get under it to get lids for the larger cups for the VIP’s. The sandwich was good, facility was nice but uncared for, but management and operations left us with a bizarre experience. Would gladly drive further to FoCo for what we know is a true...
Read morelook... there was a time in my life i ate cheba hut EVERY SINGLE DAY because it was delicious, but here's the thing... if you cannot do your job right while being high, DO NOT go to work high! too many times i would order a sandwich and it would be completely wrong. super disappointing considering it's a treat for me to even eat out. that's not even the issue anymore because i will no longer order food here... now i go in only to pick up delivery orders for work. here is the problem (for the last year)- there has only been one or two employees i do not include in this review... every expo person finishing the orders and calling out the order names is so rude. i don't know if they hate their job or hate life or what but they make the entire vibe of the establishment so depressing. customer service is not an easy job- ask anyone who has done it long enough, but it is not that hard to smile, like honestly, fake it if you need to! i cant even get these people to speak to me or answer questions about the orders!!
everyone gets excited about food, right? and cheba hut is a fun, exciting little place (the art, the stickers, etc.) but if you cannot make customers feel welcomed, you should probably not do that job. your miserable attitudes make the whole place miserable to walk...
Read moreStopped by to grab a bite for lunch. There were people but they were not busy. We walked right to the counter to order. We ordered the Kali Mist, chips and a drink. The black tea and Hibiscus were both empty. We kindly asked if they had more and we were told yes, they had to make it. The Kali came, we asked for no pickles and they got it correct. We felt the sandwich was mostly bread and lettuce. There were two small tomato slices and two small avocado slices. There was turkey, but almost non-existent. We have been to several Huts, in Greeley and Longmont, but this time it was not satisfying. We finished our meal and there was still no tea. We asked about it and they apologized, saying about 5 minutes. Since we do not drink soda and paid for drinks, we waited. Not sure how long it takes to make tea in a restaurant setting, but he was correct and we waited about 5 minutes after the apology before tea finally came out. We know they are better than our experience today and will give Cheba Hut another round. They could have been super busy prior to our arrival, seemed like the whole area was crazy with people. Bonus, the restaurant and...
