Simple pleasures to me are the best kind.
How nice it is to be assured and reassured, day after day, that I can go to Subway for a fresh sandwich "on special." Like three dollars and fifty cents for a six-inch sub and six dollars and fifty cents for a footlong sub with chips plus a soft drink. Yes, "fresh" is the best word. Smells so good in this favorite of locations because I love the staff at the 1710 West Jefferson Street (Illinois Route #52) in Joliet, Il. in the United States of America location.
Conscientiousness is a given at any Subway whenever I have visited these standard all-American (!ha, so many ethnic choices, ha!), swiftly and sweetly serviced, and totally reliable cafe style restaurants. "Fixin's" are replenished before anyone might dispute assurances or reassurances of freshness. This is the quality that makes me marvel more than anything else. I always can count on the spinach looking that healthful "clorophyll green," and it can be included on whatever sandwich I want.
Heart-conscious Baked Lays' chips on the side with my beverage of choice from the font are enough for this hungry gent who yearns to eat as healthfully as he can.
What a terrific deal, with that reliability guarantee factoring in consistently! It's a pleasure to dine in this utterly relaxed and relaxing setting, and then to depart with a sense that I really succeeded in a goal of eating well/nutritiously...

Read moreI had to remind the girl to change her gloves after she returned with roast beef for my sandwich from the back cooler. I decided not to toast my sub because of her lack of cross contamination concern. Who knows how many workers have touched the obviously dirty toaster handle. The second male Subway artist did a great job on my sandwich except for one small detail. I asked for vinegar only vs oil and vinegar. He drenched my sandwich with 4 heavy lines ( from one end to the other 4 times)with vinegar. When I sat down to eat my sandwich, 5 min later, it was so saturated with vinegar, it was inedible. The bread was soaking wet and I threw it away. Definitely not visiting this location. The vinegar thing was an opps, but the lack of knowledge or care about cross contamination is absolutely the reason I will never visit this...

P.S.: I justifiably slammed this place 4 years ago after multiple visits provided me the same dissatisfaction. That management is gone now and it shows. For reference, you can see my previous review below. MY OLD REVIEW UNDER PREVIOUS MANAGEMENT
Worst Subway I've ever been to. Tried them several times and the only things I can count on here are mind-numbingly slow service (even when I'm the only customer there), a very rude, bordering on hateful, evening manager, and ill trained poorly managed employees. I don't know how they can stay in business. I...
