Our experience with Colton's tonight was the worst experience we have received. It started with a reservation being made by my husband who gave them the information to which they said "OK. I'll put it down." And then hung up. We get there and see that they are not social distancing whatsoever. Every single table and booth is full regardless of the states Covid-19 Guidlines. We go to the register and they tell us that we are not in the system. The man at the register asks if we would like to wait for a table and while my husband turns around to ask us what we wanted to do he gets annoyed and rushes him and says "I need to know whether yall are staying right now." We say yes and we wait. When we get notified that our table is ready we went back inside and when the man we encountered before hand saw us he proceeded to roll his eyes at us. When he seated us he seated us at a table that had not been sanitized and gave us menus that he had taken from another servers hands that had also not been sanitized. We then proceed to wait 20 minutes before a server came and took our order, drinks and appetizer and food alike,, and another 15 until we got our drinks and bread. It wasn't until an hour after we were seated that we had gotten our appetizer. We overhear another waitress mention that they are out of lettuce and they itd be an hour wait for salads and another waitress mention that they had also run put of mashed potatoes. Both of which is a part of the food we ordered but our server has mentioned none of this to us. When asked about this he says "Well I heard someone mention that but i didn't know." At the hour and a half mark with no food other than the bread and appetizer from 30 minutes prior, we ask if we could just pay for the drinks and appetizer. He says ok. Then a few minutes later our food arrives, all meat near charcoal color and looked as if they had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. We then asked them to take it back and get the manager so we could pay for the things we had. We also had come to overhear several other parties ask about there reservations to which the man from before told them that they did not have reservations either. Every table near us was having similar problems with similar waits. And finally I reiterate that Every table was full, No social distancing, and half the people who came in didn't have masks to begin with. I do not recommend Coltons and we will never return even though we were there almost weekly before hand and we will be reporting them about Breaking Covid-19 Guidelines and encourage all...
Read moreWe love the food options at Colton and even enjoy eating at different locations. This particular location always prepare food exceptionally well. Our most recent experience just entering the doors to this location was off putting. The moment we opened the door the greeter, who stood several feet away asked a question that we did not hear. As we walked up to the service desk where he stood he bucked his eyes and shook his head. We said, "Hello" as we thought the facial expression, the turning of the head from side to side along with the bucking eyes was his way of waiting on a response. We said "Hello" again and then he raised his voice and rudely asked, "How many?" as he was grabbing the menus and walking into the dining area. I then apologized and said, "Oh I thought you were greeting us, with Hello." He walked away and stood in the dinning area with a disgusted facial expression. As we followed him, he passed up several empty tables/booths and seated us in the back booth next to the restrooms. We are not certain what the issue is but this same greeter was very kind to other individuals that came into the restaurant after us, even opening the doors to allow them into the restaurant. The rudeness and possibly self hatred towards his own race of customers were evident in the way he interacted with us in comparison to the other customers who were not of the same race. Again, the food is great but the service needs an overhaul to represent kindness to...
Read moreThe service here was relatively good. The overall experience was not. We were passing through and were looking for a steakhouse and gave this one a try. The flavor of the ribeye was good but my medium well was a little undercooked. My friend ordered a filet mignon, medium, and after a couple of cuts into it there was blood all over the plate. That one was definitely undercooked. When they served the loaded potato soup, I immediately knew something wasn't right. It was the most white potato soup I've ever seen, and the only reason they can call it loaded is because of the shredded cheese and bacon bits they sprinkle on top. I believe they must be using canned potatoes and heating them up and calling it potato soup. I enjoy loaded potato soup when it is on the menu and I have had excellent ones at many restaurants, but this is by far the worst I've ever had. They really need to take it off the menu here, because it is an embarrassment. The macaroni and cheese has an appealing appearance, but it is nearly tasteless. I doubt it has any actual cheese in it, and more than likely they're dumping this out of a plastic bag. It seems about the only thing they attempt to "cook" here is the meat, and that needs perfecting. Several things here they just seem to get from their supplier and heat it up and serve it. And why serve imitation butter (margarine) with the rolls? Will it break the bank to get a pat of actual butter? Gotta do better than that....
