You can tell the workers work really hard to please the costumers, most of the time they are running around everywhere to make sure they do everything properly in a matter of seconds or minutes. While also having customers watch their every move. Not only that but most of them do it with a smile on their face even if they have a line to the door and may be stressed. The employees do a great job in making the customer feel welcomed and many know costumers by name and remember their orders by heart. Panera can get very busy at times and sometimes there may be mess ups or mistakes because they are humans and not robots and no restaurant is absolutely perfect. Food is great and 100% clean so I feel healthy after a good meal. They have the yummiest and best selection of soups in this whole city! I can't think of any other restaurant with that much variety. A lot of people don't like the prices which i understand but they say because it's free of preservatives and additives and because of that it's more expensive. Also many people don't know that Panera is a great cafe for the Joplin community. They donate their leftover bread at the end of the night and raise money for Make a Wish foundation for termanally ill children to go to Disney world. Not to mention they donate to Breast cancer research for the month of October the location in Joplin is the number one contributer in the entire district. Panera is a place to be proud of and it is overall a relaxing everyday oasis. When someone points out that they may be out of certain items on the menu, it may depend on what time of the day you come in to eat, if you come in at dinner time yes, it's more likely to be out of certain items because the lunch rush from that day may have taken all they had of that certain item. Or if they are out of certain soups, it's because certain soups fall on certain days. Of course their is always that chance that the managers didn't order things right as well. I believe that I notice so many costumers being rude to the employees for things they have no control over or that aren't their fault. Running out of certain items is not the cashiers fault. A lot of the workers there are college students or parents trying to make money just like anyone else. I believe they do a great job overall and every time I go the dining room is clean and the food...
Read morePanera is one of my favorite places to grab something fresh and healthy. While the food is kind of on the pricier side, it does taste really good. However, the Joplin Panera is not quite on the level of what you'd expect from this fast-casual restaurant chain. For starters, the staff are all helpful and nice, but they always seem in a rush, even when the store is not busy. Another odd thing is that this Panera is CONSTANTLY out of mac n' cheese. It's actually kind of absurd how often I've been told, "We ran out of mac n' cheese already today." Maybe I just have bad timing, but it seems weird to me that I've heard this multiple times. I've never done a mobile order from this Panera before, but I have been behind people in line trying to pick up their order and the store either hadn't started making it yet or incorrectly filled the order. I'm sure it's still a work in progress, but you'd think that by this day and age, the process would be a little more smoothed out. Finally, what frustrates me the most about this Panera store is how often I have found HAIR in my food. I have been here many times and found it in my salads, in my mac n' cheese, and in my sandwiches. While it hasn't happened every time, it's happened enough that I'm actually kind of concerned about what goes on in the kitchen. I don't think that the Joplin Panera is the best representative of the Panera brand. I think it's got some great food and is a nice place to meet people or do homework, but this store needs to get it's act together a...
Read moreI love Panera and come to this one often. The food is good and I love the coffee...but it's going downhill. Today was not a great experience. Bagels were literally flat...they gave it to me anyway...took it back got flat bagel no 2...finally chose a different one, it was still not right but I ate it anyway to not hassle anymore with it. My Dad arrives after me and orders a bagel....it's also flat. Why would you keep handing them out if you know there's something wrong with them??? Then he orders a latte...also wrong. The guy admitted he thought he was making it wrong but didn't bother to ask. So, wait again. The lines were long and they were super slow. Took 10 minutes with one person in front of me. Under staffed for 930am on a Saturday....especially right after black Friday. 4/2/2017 Once again...round two of waiting for brew coffee for over 15 minutes! I think I could have went home and made it myself faster. It's pricey and the lack of service for how dead the place is...just crazy. So why do I keep coming...
