Grumpy's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Juneau

The atmosphere is great , but there are a few things that need to be worked on . The Dog in the restaraunt ( not a service dog ) eating from the owners hand . The child that was running all over the place , walked up to our table put the bag he / she had ben playing with on the table and just stood there , poured salt and pepper all over the table behind us , played with the salad dressing Togo containers and then put them back on the stack , put hands in the ice for the salad bar . The child was basically unsupervised . 3 . And the Most important, ordered a Heart Attack sandwich ... First one was burnt , seconded one was missing the cheese . The person who cooked it brought the second one out and said "here ya go I hope this one makes you happy " and then proceeds to tell us that there was cheese on it but it had melted when she put it on the grill . I wish I had tough to take pictures , because there was NO cheese on that sandwich . I have been here before and it was great , so one bad experience will not keep me from giving it another try . Cute, tiny space in this building with a few seats available. A 24oz Triple Berry drink cost $10.95. Which seems a bit steep for a smoothie. However, supporting a small business is important and they were delicious. Our drinks were made pretty quickly and they were fairly busy without being swamped with customers. There was an older gentleman (the owner possibly?) who was standing off to the side on his phone while employees were running around trying to get all the orders finished and out. My first time ever posting about resturaunts, these guys made me want to. Just got to town, starving and walked right in not knowing they were closed. The owners insisted we stay and eat and let us know what could be served without waiting on the grill to warm up. It was like walking into a friends house, good attitude and loves to chat. Grab whatever you want to drink, grab a bag of chips and walk around looking at the pictures while your food is being prepared. These people love what they are doing and you can feel it in...
