COVID Alert!! Please read prior to eating here. First off, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated during a weekday, no big deal. Half capacity, we understand. We ordered our food and waited another 20-30 minutes. Again, no problem.
Our food came out, this is where problems begin. My wife along with our 2 kids out enjoying our night. They bring our food out and forgot to bring out a meal for one of our sons. Mistakes happen, we understood.
I ordered ”The Boss” cheeseburger that comes topped with brisket. I grabbed a piece of brisket and it was cold. Tasted cold and cold to the touch. I pulled the bun off and touched the rest of the brisket and all of it was cold. Almost like the brisket was setting in a water bag and they slapped it on top without warming.
I asked the waiter where my sons meal was and Informed him of my issue with the cold brisket. I purposely knocked the brisket off so it made a mess on the paper to see how they handled it. 1) give me a new order or 2) warm it back up. Yes, option 2.
My sons chicken strips came out along with my sandwich. The chicken strips were soggy grease filled rubber. My brisket was warm, but now my bun, cheeseburger and fries were cold.
I maned up and started eating the other now cold items. THIS IS WHERE COVID COMES INTO PLAY!!!
I looked up and witnessed our waiter basically blowing his nose, wiping his mouth in the lobby. He continued to put his mask on and went right back to work helping other customers and delivering meals. Flash back to when we arrived.... he sat our napkins down on the table and spread the palm of his hand all over our napkins. I noticed this and instantly tossed out that first napkin. It wasn’t until the end when I witnessed how he was wiping his nose and mouth.
Could this person intentionally be spreading germs? You be the judge. I asked for the manager ( Mindy) after I saw this and I formed her of the entire ordeal, including what we witnessed about our waiter. She apologized about “his hygiene “, and said she would talk to him. At this point, damage was done. She worked out our bill. You can read my reviews, I don’t complain and are usually very understanding. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted.
My wife use to have me take her to this location almost weekly when she was pregnant. This location has gone down hill. The lady at the front was nice and Mindy did all she could within her power to make good of this experience. I’m very cautious with COVID. If I test positive, this location will be looked at.
Corporate: YOU CAN VIEW THESE TAPES. 3/16/21 approx 7:30 pm. Time stamped and dated. Please don’t message back with a generic link asking for feedback. I’m not saying I’ll never eat at Chili’s again, just not the Kansas City Legends location.
**Update to Chili's response. No, there was no mention of replacing the meal. In fact, we were told this is just how they are and one of the most returned items on...
Read moreThe hostess was nice, but he darted off, to the table ( at far end of restaurant), never looked back for us until he hit the table, I am handicap & walk with a cane. Manager needs to teach him, you don't dart off, he should have slowed down to see where we were, and if we are with him. ( just training needed). ▪︎Our appetizer the bone (Buffalo wings) were cold, southwest egg rolls were warm. Our waitress was nice, and she checked on his multiple times, she keep my drink filled. We ordered entree that that had multiple meats, corn on cob & fries. (cost little over $27.00 for the entree). It had 3 small Is pitiful chicken crisper, one 4 inch piece of Jalapeno cheese sausage & second piece that was maybe 3 inche in length and 4 small pieces of brisket quesadillas & small amount of fries. Sorry, it looked like I got someone's left overs, not a fresh plate (like it was the end of the night, then gave me what was only left in the kitchen. Meat portions were pitiful, and the fries were a mix of the bottom of bag (small pieces). Doesn't anyone care what then send out to tables. The fries were bearly hot, chicken luke warm, only the The jalapeno cheese sausage was hot (bearly had 3 bites). This entree is almost 30.00....... don't get much for your money. Ordered it because wanted leftovers. We didnt want to send it back ( to the kitchen), just didn't want to have to fight, for what we should be getting in the first place..........just wanted late lunch/ early dinner (in peace) ▪︎The temperature in the restaurant was cold, and we were sitting the furthest wall in the restaurant. ▪︎Ketchup bottles were empty, only had maybe 2 drops left end them, multiple tables had to grab bottles from other tables. Plus no salt or pepper on tables. ▪︎There was a girl that was bussing tables in our area, she would clean the tables, but she would pick up trash on the floor (or sweep), was like ok, you are not done. ▪︎Plus there is no option, when paying on the little machine at your table to get a printed receipt (so they are saving money on paper), plus the server is not bringing the paper bill to your table. ▪︎Just a heads up, don't get much value for your money on...
Read moreI first came to Kansas 2 years ago and This Chili's became our family spot. Good service, great food. Just all around a great experience. So, naturally when we returned in 2017 we visited again. The first time I was with my friend and her son. The service was horrendous. Our waitress basically ignored us we waited through the entire visit on a glass of water. When we had finally had enough, and placed our money on the table we continued to wait for 20 minutes to pay. I ultimately had to go approach the server to pay. I swore I'd never go back. So, last night we decided it's been a year, let's give them another chance. It's our spot! The wait for a table wasn't bad. We get in, there's food and napkins all over the floor. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting to be greeted and order drinks. By the time she came we we're ready to order our food. She quickly takes our drink order and dashes off. They did comp a dessert for our troubles. The whole atmosphere was chaotic and unpleasant and messy. The food was.. bleh. Mediocre at best. Apparently we were not the only ones who were having a bad experience because I noticed a customer fussing at the floor manager. After that the same manager starting visiting all of the tables including ours. She was nice and asked how we were doing.. I knew she could tell I was sorely disappointed. And I no longer had any interest in salvaging our experience. So, we all got boxes for our untouched food. I won't be going back. The nostalgia I held for this establishment has turned into complete and...
