Cocinan Los Abuelos — Restaurant in Kansas City

I took a chance, and I’m so glad that I did. I ordered 3 tacos (asada, pollo, y birria) with the hottest salsa on the side. As you can see, the presentation is spot on. I was blown away that they included sautéed pepper and onions (which complimented the tacos perfectly). The meat was flavorful and had great texture. The salsa left a tingling sensation on my lips for minutes after the meal. The food is sitting well hours after eating, and it feels like it’s burning clean. This was exactly what I needed to get my weekend started. I will definitely be back soon and often!

Big shout to the lovely ladies behind...

I needed lunch in a rush and I found this place that is really close to my office and decided to give it a try. The service was great, I got there around 12:35, which is the middle of lunch, especially downtown. It was quick, prepared in front of me and the ladies working were very nice. I got the chicken gorditas, with rice and beans. Oh my, the flavors were amazing, the portion size very generous (I have two lunches now!) and everything fresh. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu, especially since it is minutes...

I'm working in the area and stopped in for lunch because there are very few walkable options near here. I'll be returning often over the next few months.

The Asada Fries were delicious and the portion size was great. The green salsa was a great addition. The ladies are friendly and they get your food out quickly.
