Loved the vibe this place is going for and I think this place has a lot of potential but I have some sincere suggestions.
Having one server on a Saturday night in a packed house is poor planning. We easily would’ve ordered 2 additional drinks each during our visit if he wasn’t stretched so thin trying to cover the whole place alone.
I get we had a 90min reservation but we couldn’t even leave until after 115min because the one server wasn’t able to come around and check us out. This caused the people with reservations after us to be waiting which we saw as we finally left. In short, you gotta have 2 servers on a busy Saturday night, no exceptions.
Other things I’d greatly consider is the entire room is surrounded by brick and concrete. It is SO LOUD in there and they haven’t added any kind of sound treatment to reduce the noise. I would strongly recommend installing some 3” or 5” sound reduction panels in between the ceiling rafters to help absorb the excess noise. It would make for a significantly better experience.
Congrats on opening a beautiful vibe and I genuinely hope things continue to improve as you iron out the kinks of a...
Read moreWas encouraged to visit by one of the bartenders, Jerry, and my visit did not disappoint! Stopped by after dinner out on Saturday evening and had forgotten to make a reservation. They were so kind and gracious and squeezed us in before the next reservation arrived. Loved the curated cocktail menu. The menu's attention to detail on flavor pairings, colors/textures, variety of ingredients/liquors, and N/A options did not go unnoticed, and it was graphically easy to follow. Our server, Jess, could not have been lovelier! Just the right amount of attentiveness. The interior design is well done and successfully creates the speakeasy lounge feel, which also makes Brass Monkey perfect for catch-ups/hangouts or special occasions, casual attire or dressy. I appreciated the relaxed atmosphere versus your typical fast-paced bar scene. (Although the bartenders were not moving slow! Drinks came out immediately!) Will...

The drinks? Out. Of. This. World. Seriously, every cocktail was so good, but the best part is this card game they play with the bartenders. You pull some cards, and they whip up a custom drink just for you. It’s such a fun twist and makes it feel like your drink has its own little story.
Highly, highly recommend—whether it’s a date night, nightcap, or just wanting to try something different. I’m already planning...
