Zoo Bar — Restaurant in Kansas City

My boyfriend and I are not from around here and came in around 3:30 because I thought the place looked cool in pictures and it is extremely small and a bit trashier than the pics, which I didn’t mind so we took our seats. Our drinks were okay but again I didn’t mind a bars a bar. After about 45 minutes, she came up to us out of nowhere and rudely told us “guys I know you’re 21 but this exact change isn’t happening anymore.” And after we explained we were expecting to give her a nice tip at the end, she told us “I’ve been working here a long time I know how it goes” which yes I understand now that maybe it wasn’t the right way to do it but 1.were from two completely different states across the country maybe that’s how we do things? And 2. She could have corrected us in a nice way like ‘hey guys this is how we do it here’ but she barely acknowledged us the entire time and I invetiatbaly walked out without giving her that tip. I loved this little bar, owner must not care about losing business !I understand not wanting loiterers but the way we were approached after coming in, asking for water and darts, was not appropriate or necessary. We got in one game while waiting on friends to arrive and join us, right as our friend arrives we're trying to add them to the dart game as the bartender approaches, I thought to maybe ask if we needed drinks, but no she comes and says "whats going on over here guys?" There was an elderly lady with curly blonde hair working behind the bar tonight, after the Tate concert my girlfriend and I were looking for a bar to go to after. She asked what we wanted to drink and I told her we just wanted to warm up first then we will order a drink. She proceeded to question us if we were waiting for an Uber and what we wanted to drink again, basically saying if we weren’t going to order a drink we weren’t welcome.
