MT Plate cafe — Restaurant in Kansas City

Manager has a rude first impression she is always trying to rush the customer, like they have to order in 3 seconds. Prices are ridiculous they seem to change with the person taking the order. Or they are outrageous for the items ordered. Today I visited and ordered a wrap that was$ 6.50 2 grilled cheeses that was $3.50 each and 2 candy bars that aparently equaled out to be $2.25 each either that or taxes are more then what they should be.. I handed her a 20$ and only got a dollar and 45 cents back!! My food was 13.50$ unsure what the candy bar prices were but they shouldn't have equaled out to be 5 dollars total. I wasn't handed a receipt so this doesn't help me verify the prices for what I ordered therefore leaving me to fill that I have been ripped off!!! For the 2nd time using this cafe for my...

MT Plate is my favorite place to eat in the Crown Center/Union Station area. Great food at a reasonable price, with a plethora of breakfast and lunch options, including a well-stocked salad bar. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The service is fast. You wouldn't think that 2300 Main has a restaurant inside but the looks of it, but it's a wonderful spot to eat on frequent occasions. Try the buffalo chicken...
