Read moreFirst let me start by saying the Thai iced tea is delicious! We used to come to Thai Cottage all the time and decided tonight to try Thai Table that took over their space for the first time. We sat at the table in the far back of the restaurant. There appeared to be only one server attending to all the tables so it was no surprise that it took some time to place our drink order. Our appetizer, the cheese rolls, came out before the server had brought our cutlery. They were tasty but the description in the menu didn’t mention that they had raisins. It took quite a long time to receive our meals. My husband got the special - lobster pad Thai. The lobster was sadly still in the shell which makes for a lovely presentation but very difficult to remove (especially without a knife) from the shell. The lobster was terribly overcooked and for $29.95 it was a big disappointment. My sister got her go to dish - chicken pad Thai. The flavor was very good but the chicken, like the lobster, was extremely overcooked and dry. I had the shrimp and it was plump, flavorful and plentiful. One of the disappointing things was I had my heart set on sticky rice for dessert. I even ordered it when we sat down only to be told when the server checked to see if we needed boxes that they had sold out… The most disappointing was that we were never checked on, never had our tea refilled (and we ran out of our drinks halfway through our meals), never offered chopsticks. We tried to catch the attention of the server several times but she was so inundated that she never saw us. We had very high hopes that Thai Table would be our go to restaurant for Thai. Sadly, that won’t...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Thai Table recently and was thoroughly impressed. The highlight of my visit was their fried fish dish, the most expensive item on the menu but worth every penny. The fish was fried to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I asked for the Mae Ploy (sweet and spicy sauce), which paired wonderfully with the fish. It was served in bite-sized pieces, accompanied by fresh broccoli and carrots, creating a beautifully balanced and satisfying meal. The fried fish dish is so good that I used to order it once a week—it’s truly that delicious!
The atmosphere of the restaurant is quaint and quiet, making it a great place to meet and eat. Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a meal solo, the cozy ambiance adds to the overall experience.
What made the visit even more special was the warm and welcoming vibe. I had a chance to chat with Don, the owner's husband, during my visit this past weekend. It’s clear that this is a locally run family business, and their passion for what they do shines through in both the food and the service.
If you’re looking for delicious Thai food with a personal touch and a charming atmosphere, Thai Table is a fantastic choice. I’ll definitely be returning to try more...
