Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Katy

The music was so f###ing loud that I had to raise my voice to place my order that was still messed up because the line server couldn't hear me. Pointing out that the music was way too loud for casual dining but perfectly loud enough for a bar yielded a half-hearted "Oh, we can turn it down" from the staff with no decrease in volume. I had to put ear plugs in to half-enjoy my lunch. Thanks for a thoroughly unpleasant break from my hard day of work, jerks.

Another experience at this location, I ordered chicken and then decided I wanted a double serving. The second scoop was scraped off the bottom of the bin and was nothing but dried out chicken crumbs. I refused to pay for crumbs, and even though they were "gracious" enough to not charge me extra, the bowl tasted like garbage because of the burnt crumbs mixed into it.

This is just not a good location, and I wouldn't even bother coming to it if it weren't immediately next door to one of my customers.

UPDATE: I decided to give this location another chance. That was a poor decision on my part. The rice in my burrito bowl was half-cooked, and the young woman in the serving line was so stingy with the portions that I couldn't even taste the chicken in the finished product as there was so little of it. I won't be visiting this location again.

Also, the terrible music is still too damned loud. I'm not interested in going to a rave -- I just want lunch, and this location fails hard at that...

I stopped by tonight 09/25/25 at 7:30ish PM. I was ordering 4 burritos and two of the workers were preparing them. We were on the third to last burrito and they started rushing and both asking me questions at the same time for both burritos. As I was answering the girl, the guy asked me a question that I didn't quite hear because I was answering to the girl.

I was reading the order from one of my friends to let him know what was wanted on the burrito when the girl starts tapping her fingernail on the counter as to rush me so I gave her a stare. She proceeded with using hand gestures to rudely rush me into telling her what I wanted on the burrito.She did it twice so I used hand gestures to tell her to calm down. I was astonished with the situation that words didn't come out my mouth. She then raised her tone and asked "what kind of beans?" That's when her manager stepped in and told her that "there was plenty of time" and then apologized to me for the whole ordeal.

I couldn't concentrate after that. I got my orders wrong so I told a third person that I needed veggies on one of my burritos and the same girl grabbed a handful of them and just slammed them on.

I've worked in the restaurant industry for years, and no matter how in the weeds you are you never rush or raise your voice at a customer because of it. Mind you the place was empty and only one person was behind me. I am sure they don't care, but definitely not...

Pretty disappointed with one of the staff members there last night. Her name I was told was Sam.The staff was reluctant to give me her name.My Fiancé and I went to grab dinner for the family and we happen to attend this Chipotle very often. When I let the staff know we were going to need 5 bowls they began to act as if we were inconveniencing them. We felt super rushed and then they ran out of rice. She began just barely giving maybe half a spoon per bowl when I had asked for double rice per bowl. When I mentioned this she condescendingly told me,“well we are out of rice”. I responded by saying if I am paying for the extra rice I would like the right portion. She became confrontational and said that I don’t pay for extra rice and wanted to move the line along, again, with giving just a sliver of whatever rice was left on the bowls. I’m paying for each plate so yes I’m paying for the rice.Then in the middle of this another staff came with fresh rice. She added a bit more to the last bowl but did not fix the other four. By this time she had made enough of a scene that other guests were watching. I did not appreciate her lack of customer service and making us the focus. We also ordered extra chicken and she only put one spoon on some and yet I still paid for extra. We grab dinner here often and this visit put a bad taste in our mouth. Hope she gets...
