Slick City Action Park: A Fun and Unique Experience in Katy, TX
Slick City Action Park, located in Katy Mills, is a great indoor attraction that offers a mix of excitement and family-friendly fun. It’s not just another trampoline park—Slick City is known for its massive dry slides, interactive air courts, and a lively atmosphere that keeps visitors entertained for hours. Whether you're looking for an active outing with friends or a fun place to take the kids, this park has something for everyone.
One of the main highlights of Slick City is its dry slides. Unlike water slides, these allow you to experience high speeds and twists without getting wet. Some slides are straightforward and built for speed, while others have bumps and turns that add a little extra thrill. The variety means that both kids and adults can find something that matches their comfort level, whether they’re adrenaline junkies or just looking for a fun ride.
Beyond the slides, the park features large air courts where visitors can play sports like basketball and dodgeball with a twist. The bouncy, air-filled surfaces make jumping and diving more exciting, adding an extra challenge to the games. It’s a great way to stay active while having fun, and the courts are a hit with both kids and teenagers who enjoy high-energy activities.
For younger children, there’s a designated play area with softer slides and interactive features designed just for them. This section ensures that even the smallest visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. Parents can relax knowing their little ones are playing in an age-appropriate environment while older kids explore the bigger attractions.
One of the best things about Slick City is that it’s an indoor park, meaning weather is never an issue. Whether it’s too hot, cold, or rainy outside, the park remains a great option for an active day indoors. The controlled environment makes it a reliable go-to spot for birthday parties, playdates, and family outings.
The atmosphere at Slick City is also a big plus. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Whether it's helping kids get started on the slides or explaining safety rules, employees contribute to making the experience smooth and enjoyable.
In addition to general admission visits, Slick City offers birthday party packages and group events. This makes it a popular choice for celebrations, team outings, and school field trips. With dedicated party spaces and group deals, it’s an easy option for parents and event organizers looking to host a fun gathering.
One potential downside is that it can get crowded, especially on weekends. Because it’s such a popular spot, peak hours can mean longer wait times for slides and attractions. However, visiting during weekdays or earlier in the day can help avoid the busiest times.
Overall, Slick City Action Park is a fantastic place for active fun in Katy. With its thrilling dry slides, engaging air courts, and kid-friendly play areas, it offers a unique experience that stands out from other indoor entertainment venues. Whether you're a local or just visiting the area, it’s worth checking out for a fun-filled day.

My husband and I, along with my son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons, visited Slick City this past Sunday. Despite knowing it was quite expensive, we were all excited. The total cost for four adults and two kids was $169, plus an additional $5 per person for socks. Some of us had grip socks from other parks, which we initially thought would save us some money, but this turned into an issue later on.
First Impressions and Cleanliness: From the moment we arrived, I was underwhelmed. For the high cost, the number of slides was disappointingly few. The restroom was filthy, reminiscent of a dirty gas station bathroom with no tissue, a strong smell of urine, and an overall rundown appearance. An employee entered with a brand-new, dry mop that had clearly never been used. There were no cubbies for personal belongings, and lockers had to be paid for. The general cleanliness of the park was poor, with food-stained tables and trash strewn everywhere.
Slide Experience and Safety Concerns: We tried to remain enthusiastic about the slides. While the slides themselves were exciting and fun, the landings were dangerous and often resulted in injury.
On the first slide, my daughter-in-law scraped her ankle and top of her foot so severely it bled through her sock. On the second slide, my husband broke his glasses and scuffed all his knuckles on one hand. On the fourth slide, I rolled and bent my glasses, cut and scuffed fingers and wrist. We then decided to place all our glasses in a locker. Throughout our visit, we accumulated several scraped and bleeding elbows, multiple scuffed and bleeding hands and knuckles, several cuts and bruises, and aches and pains that persist still today. I know the weaver warns that they are not responsible for any injuries including g death, but should do better to make it safe for everyone . Snack Bar and Staff Issues: When we were ready to leave, the boys wanted a snack from the snack bar. The line was long and moved incredibly slowly. Only one person was at the register, while a team lead was busy stocking a mostly full cooler with Gatorade, ignoring the growing line. Essential items like spoons and napkins were out of stock. Meanwhile, the same employee with the dry mop made another appearance, pushing it around aimlessly.
Conclusion: I would not recommend Slick City at all. However, if you do decide to go, be prepared for a dirty, unsafe, poorly staffed and managed, and very expensive experience. Adults, in particular, should avoid sliding as it could result in...
Read moreI recently hosted my twins' 8th birthday party at Slick City in Katy, and what we thought would be a fun and memorable day turned into a frustrating experience. The pictures and attractions looked promising, but the reality was quite different.
First, the cleanliness of the facility was unacceptable. The bathrooms were filthy, with used toilet paper scattered all over the floors and only one working stall out of five. This was not only inconvenient but also a health hazard, especially with the venue being packed. The floors were slippery, posing a serious risk for children, and my guests had to direct people to use the bathrooms inside the mall because the ones at Slick City were in such poor condition.
The food bar was another major disappointment. It was highly disorganized, and staff repeatedly got orders wrong. This led to an embarrassing situation where people were shouting, throwing drinks, and demanding refunds. Slick City seemed to have no control over the chaos, which added to the frustration of the day.
We purchased the Deluxe package, which was supposed to include everything needed for 10 kids, but we did not receive what was promised. According to the package details, parents, especially the parents of the guest of honor, were supposed to play for free. However, the staff attempted to include the parents as part of the 10, contrary to the package description. We had to insist on receiving what was promised. Additionally, we did not receive any party favors for our guests, which were also supposed to be included.
Communication from the staff was another major issue. We were not informed when we reached the 10-child limit, and some children arrived with only 30 minutes left in the party. This meant they didn’t get food or the full two-hour playtime, yet we were still charged $39.99 for each additional child. During booking, we specifically arranged for parents to purchase their children’s socks, and we would cover everything else. However, this information was not communicated to the parents, and Slick City provided socks to our guests and added the cost to our bill. This, combined with the extra charges for additional guests who only had limited playtime, added nearly $250 to our total bill on top of the package cost.
Overall, the experience at Slick City in Katy was extremely disappointing. The lack of cleanliness, poor organization, and failure to deliver on package promises left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this venue for any event until they make significant...
