This cozy pizza joint on the corner of downtown kennesaw is pretty neat. My gf and I love finding the hidden pizza treasures as often as we can. That being said, we have a few positives and negatives. The building isn't very big, which cultures a unique feel. Lots of waitresses flying around, pick up orders and a busy patio show that this place churns out some pizza! 2.50 for a pint on Mondays?! Sign me up! A great deal worth a revisit! Now this pizza place decided to take on a whole different and complicated beast, BBQ, why? I have no idea, but, since the place is lit up all about this BBQ, we decided to get an app, pulled pork over cheese fries, to test the waters. Big mistake, do not order bbq from a pizza place. Althought, i was a fan of the Sriracha glaze provided for the fries. Waste of 11.50, yes 11.50, for those fries. Then, we went on a limb and got the limoncello pizza, which is quite different but intriguing. Alfredo base, cheese, chicken, and lemon garlic drizzled over the top. Surprisingly, the lemon was very subtle, which was nice, but I felt like something was missing, maybe some bacon for the saltiness, or fresh arugula chopped up and sprinkled on top? Idk, I'm not the chef. So pizza was good, but left something to be desired. I'll go back if not for the cheap, Monday special drinks, but to try a more mainstream pizza, a staple pizza if you will.

With some tweaks, I think this would have been way better. The bad: Our biggest complaint is the temperature of the dining area itself. It was HOT. Also, the pizza crust, especially towards the middle, was really, really soggy. I think it was due to it sitting on the serving pan. If that's the case, it should be served on a rack to keep this from happening. The meatballs were kind of one note. The Chicken Pisconi sauce was runny. The sauce didn't really seem to coat the noodles at all. It definitely could have used some extra lemon or acid to brighten it up. The good: The service was great. The whole team seemed to be in sync and working hard. They were polite, quick, and overall really great. We had a pink Starburst cocktail, and it was so good. The chicken in the Chicken Pisconi was juicy and cooked to perfection. As I mentioned before, if the sauce had been on point, this dish would have been great. It had such great potential. The spaghetti noodle's texture was better than average. If the pizza crust wasn't so soggy, it would have ben great. I feel like the flavor was there. We had a deluxe and even with the wet bread texture I ate 2 slices. Maybe I came on a day the AC was broken but if I tried it again I would either eat outside or make sure the dining area wasn't sweltering. Over all good potential but not quite there.

Updated Review: Edit: NO WAY would I use this place again for pizza pick-up. Last Friday Jan 29th I placed an order for curbside delivery and after waiting outside for ten minutes (30 minutes later total after the order was placed) the pizza finally arrived at my car COLD. I was so frustrated that I told the person bringing out the food to be on the lookout for my review. During dinner the manager called and apologized and offered a $15 credit for the issue, I decided to suspend my updated review in the name of small town business and excellent customer service. I explained my talking points to her as far as temperature of food and why people won't return to a business if they had a bad experience, processing the orders in a timely manner (4pm in the afternoon) not enjoying pizza when it's cold etc, she understood, apologized and said it won't happen again. Well lo and behold one week later on Friday February 5th @ 4:30 I decided to use our $15 credit and the exact same thing happens to me again, place the order 20 minutes prior to arrival and wait outside 7 minutes for my pizza, another Friday and I'm meeting cold pizza at home 😢 Original Review: Great little local pizza joint!

Con: A little inconsistent for me.

Pro: The customer service is good, everybody is nice, pleasant and has a smile on their face no matter how busy it is.

I've only been here twice and both times were for pickup. The first time I ordered an eggplant parmesan grinder, fries and wings and the food was amazing!! I found the price of the wings to be a bit high but it was worth it! They were well seasoned and crispy. Even my fries tasted good after I made it all the way home!! That says a lot for a pickup order 👍🏾

The food was so good, I decided to try other items on their menu so yesterday I ordered a margarita pizza. This is a plain, basic pizza with three ingredients however it's one of my favorites! Unfortunately, I found the pizza to be quite disgusting. I ordered traditional but I think they gave me thin crust which I'm not a fan of. There was hardly any marinara sauce, lots of bald spots on every slice. What really made me shake my head is that they drenched grated Parmesan cheese all over the pizza??? What in the world ? This wasn't on the menu as an ingredient and I didn't ask for it so I honestly don't know if it was a mistake or if this is how their pizzas are made? I am not a fan of Parmesan cheese at all, let alone they fake grated kind so I ended up eating 2 slices and throwing the rest away.

As for the wings, They were still seasoned well but I asked for extra crispy, They weren't and I asked for ranch and they didn't include it.

I spent around $60 here yesterday just to not enjoy any of the items.

Again, I've only been here twice and I would usually give it another try but I think it's a little too expensive to have another failed...

We decided to order pizza from somewhere we don't usually go, so we gave Pisano's a try. I can't speak to the atmosphere or service when you are in the restaurant but I can definitely review the delivery service! I ordered the pizza t approximately 5:04 pm, the confirmation email I received depicted estimated delivery between 5:37 and 5:52. At 6:15pm we still had not received a delivery so I called the restaurant and was immediately greeted with a "Thanks for calling Pisano's, please hold" , then I was sent placed on hold, after a five minute wait, I hung up and called back. I got an answer this time and explained the situation, the server told me that they had been waiting on DOORDASH or whoever but she thought the order was already gone, the website does not depict that they use third-party for delivery or I would NOT have bought my pizza there. The driver showed up to my house at about 6:25pm, the pizza was stone cold...even the box was cold, I asked the driver how long he had the pizza and he told me that he had just picked it up because he had a long wait at the restaurant.

I did not call the restaurant again because the server showed no concern the first time I called. I can assure you that after paying $65 for cold pizza I will NOT be patronizing this establishment in the future. After heating the pizza up in the microwave it wasn't terrible but I didn't pay for microwave pizza. If the staff has no concern for the customer, then it is apparent that the management doesn't either, I will spend my money with a business that actually provides customer service instead of someone that acts as if I should be appreciative I get to...

My wife and I went to Pisano's the past Saturday, after my son's baseball game, at around 7pm. The male host asked where we would like to sit. As it was pretty balmy that evening, we wanted a booth, but the inside was full and he explained there was only a table under an umbrella on the patio.

As we were pretty hungry, we decided to sit out on the patio. We then proceeded to wait..and wait...and wait. They were busy, for sure, but 30 minutes went by and no one had even came to take our drink order. My wife then motioned to a passing bus boy to ask if we could be helped. Within a minute or two, a woman came (I assume one of the wait staff), came and asked who sat us? My wife and I replied that we had no idea, just that he was a white, college aged male. Then nothing for another 12 minutes.

Finally our server came, apologized and said the host never notified her that she had a table waiting. She quickly took our drink order, got our appetizer within minutes and took our food order. She was very pleasant and did a great job serving us.

We had a large pepperoni and crumbled meatball pizza; my only complaint is that the meat for the meatballs was pretty bland and seemed to not be seasoned at all.

As we were eating, the host came and apologized for screwing up. It was a nice sentiment, but having to wait that long, you would think that the manager would have comped our appetizer or something, just as a courtesy.

We will go again, but I really hope that host gets better training or learns from...
