I live in Atlanta and I come to the Tri-Cities twice a year for a week at a time. I drink a smoothie every day, so I was delighted to find Fresh Picks a few years ago. Up until today, it has always been a pleasant experience. Today; However was different! I came in with my daughter and grandson and was greeted warmly by a young woman, who said she would be right with us. At this time , another young lady came out from the back and looked totally annoyed that we were there. I placed my order which contained a lot of ingredients and tried to joke with her by saying, " that's some kind of smoothie huh" and she basically just blew me off with a "whatever." Still No Worries. When my daughter tried to place her order, we were told she couldn'tt make it because she had no way to ring it up. My daughter suggested just charging us at the smoothie price. Still we were told no. At this point my daughter said she didn'tt want anything. So I approached your employee and asked why she couldn't`t make the modification. Her response flabbergasted me! She stated that she told her she could make the drink, but would have to charge the smoothie price and my daughter balked at that. I calmly reminded her that 'I heard exactly what you said." She was glaring at me while she was preparing my drink and in a most sarcastic way said for me to "have a nice day." I told her "it will be a lot easier for me, than it will be for you." In closing, this young lady a little larger (stating this for Identification purposes only) than the nicer one who initially greeted us, based on our experience, a terrible representative of this company. To pay over $13.00 for a smoothie, and get that kind of customer service is an insult. She really shouldn't be dealing with customers. Just so you know, in my occupation I am a dispatcher...It takes a lot for me to be affected by a bad experience. I also don't believe expressing myself on Social Media. But unfortunately, you may have lost me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a large order to pick up and stood at the front counter for several minutes with no greeting or acknowledgment. One employee came from the back, clearly saw me, but avoided eye contact, spoke briefly to another employee making what looked like a smoothie bowl or something, then went back where I could hear her chatting with others. The smoothie bowl employee also looked up at me, made eye contact, and then looked right back down without saying a word.
Iāve worked in customer service for many years, and even if you canāt help a customer right away, you should always acknowledge them and let them know someone will be right with them. I donāt mind waiting, I understand being busy...but a simple greeting or smile goes a long way. Iām more than willing to be patient, as long as Iām acknowledged.
I tend not to return to businesses where employees canāt even greet customers when they walk in. Iām sure the owners would be disappointed to know theyāve lost a customer (who spent a significant amount of money) over something as simple as poor customer service. Negative word-of-mouth spreads far faster than positive experiences, a lesson I learned back in my high school marketing class.
When the employee finally came back to the front, she just said āhi,ā nothing else. I told her what I was there to pick up, and she went to the back to get it. The whole experience felt unwelcoming and unprofessional, which is disappointing for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was delighted to find this place. They not only make great tasting smoothies, but they use real fruit! You are not just getting a flavored drink. You can add or take away ingredients that you don't want in them. So, if you don't want too much sugar, they'll comply. Or you don't want milk products, you don't have to have them. They have a lot of different recipes and ideas for smoothies. And they sell other things that are really healthy. One of my favorite is their apple sandwich. You just have to go there and see what it is. It is amazing, but probably seasonal. They have pies and apple cider, and some of the things you would find at a country mercantile store, but without having to go all the way out to the mercantile. And their prices are reasonable. What can I say? I love the place! If you please, hit the THUMBS UP button to...
