Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Kerrville

Family and I went in at a quarter to 9. Manager Cierra was very pleasant when greeting. At first glance store looked clean. The smell was very unpleasant. Maybe the grease?? Ordered i kinda knew they would not have much cooked. So they had to cook the tenders and okra no biggy. I'd rather fresh. My husband got 4pc spicy. He started while I waited. Son got 3pc reg with macaroni. I got the drinks. When I tell you I don't know why I didn't take a picture of the drink station. I've seen pretty bad, this by passed bad, this was foul. It was so moldy I started to wipe it myself with napkins and gagged. I showed my husband. He walked away angry. Probably bc now he'll gag. 60 dollars later. My husband placed a napkin over the tray and says idk why i suggested coming here. He picked at the chicken maybe ate one pc all together. He ate the slaw. My kid loves macaroni. He took one bite and tossed it. It was the macaroni that was left at the bottom of the pot that was burnt. He also ordered mash potatoes. He took a bite and said nevermind I'm full. I brought mine home. And ate 1 tender the fries tasted weird. The okra either burnt or the grease was nasty. That was very disappointing bc that was a large okra. Didn't even touch it. I could've bought 3 days worth of dinner for the price of that. Maybe not steak with the prices. But cereal would have tasted better. I've never been more disgusted. We work hard for our money. And we're going to bed hungrier then when we started. I don't know how it went that wrong. I've been here my whole life. Used to be really good, if not decent. This wasn't even eatable. I would be so embarrassed if that was my establishment. Again staff was good. But everything else, nothing good to say. Churches you...

Back to the same unsatisfactory service and food quality. I ordered the 24 tenders with 3 large classic sides and tea. The order clerk was trying to do two things at once, so I had to repeat my request a couple of times. I ordered an additional family sized fries. I asked if there was plenty of cream gravy and was assured there were three small containers equivalent to a large. For the sides, I ordered cole slaw, jalapeño bombers (not a classic side, add .50), and fried okra. The fries were cold, no okra, and two of the gravies looked like they had been sitting in a warmer all day and the third one looked like milk. The packaged sweet tea was not very good. The tenders were okay, but Church's changed the batter recipe and there is an unpleasant aromatic spice. I will not order from this Church's again. It seems like if I do go back I should just tell them to choose whatever $50 will get me and I won't be disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered. Does this happen to everybody? It feels like it happens almost...

Beware of what they charge you always read your receipt always check what they're giving you, I ordered a four-piece mixed and they charged me extra for the pieces charge me extra for the side that came with it and charged me a different price then was on their board and their website for the four piece. They charged me $4 more plus all the extras, That was supposed to be included in the combo. When I complained they said it was must be an error at the corporate level we have no control we have to charge what they give us to charge.

Update: drove the 12 me back to where we live, we know the chicken was probably cool off that was not a big deal but my first bite into the chicken leg was to find that the center of it was completely raw and uncooked. Needless to say I will never ever return to this Church's...
