There could be no better location for a dive bar with an attached liquor store. It is smack dab in the middle of the crew ship docks. People coming off the ships gravitate right to it and one never knows what kind of crowd is going to be in there at any time. One of the evenings I thought the place was full of guys, but it was just a group of gals from a lesbian cruise on Holland American. The staff is wonderful, and they do their best to keep people happy. Quite often, one of the bartenders or servers will bring in a crockpot full of something delicious and they put that on the table. Everyone gets a bowl and thereās no charge for it. The walls are covered in Alaska history. Iāve never seen bigger fish, worse shipwrecks, grizzlier lumberjacks or anything that compares to the pictures on the walls there. The prices are very reasonable for Ketchikan. There is a lot of local color in there too as it is a watering hole for a lot of the locals. They have the answer all their questions and I guarantee that they are very willing to share their knowledge with you. So, when you go there, donāt forget to stop at...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI forget the first bartender cannot lie, but it is Saturday April 12th but went out on Friday night- jet lag from VA. whoever was on tonight was great-I am a server of 10+ years. Great bartenders, easy to buy Bacardi ā I used to work at a Cuban rum bar, so Iām picky about my rum as someone with Spanish people in my family, and everyone was very very kind considering Iām not from Alaska/from Texas/the east coast/ they helped me get a cab as a usual public transport girlie- I donāt drive due to visual disability, and they didnāt make me feel dumb for knowing nothing about my new state!
was my first time there; lovely time, all the bartenders are great, and Iām a server so it was just just a joy to be there with my date.
Will def be back! Similarly to 49ers, as a Cajun it reminds me of all the best parts of Texas/louisiana/true southern hospitality :) thank u for...
