I bought a pendant, chain and earrings here. Upon getting back on the cruise ship, I had some regret. I called, and they told me to go into their store in Ketchikan when our ship stopped there to return one of the pieces. After waiting for 20 minutes for 2 different associates to go “to the back office” staff, I was told I would need to email the email listed on the website and receipt in order to get approval for returning the pendant I bought.
After multiple attempts because my email was “sent to spam”, I received the news that I could exchange.
Chris Kinney, who was great with communication, took a couple videos of two bracelets I was interested in.
I chose the flexible bangle 2 carat. I paid additional money on top of what I already paid for the pendant.
I received the bracelet yesterday, and decided to take it to my local big jeweler Genesis Diamonds, as well as another here to have the bracelet and earrings looked at.
They informed me they carry the exact same bracelet and the exact earrings that I bought at Monarch. EXACT BRAND!
I feel unbelievably taken advantage of! The exact bracelet was more than half off the price Monarch sold it to me. The earrings were also more than half as much less!!
What's even worse....they responded to my email trying to address this with "it's impossible that Genesis could be offering the bracelet for less than half of what they sold it to me."
SO.....Norwegian Cruise line informed me they ARE NOT one of their preferred partners after contacting them.
I HAVE THE APPRAISALS FROM 2 local jewelers showing that I was ripped off!!!
Think twice about buying here. They have a no return policy and unless you are buying a piece of gold that is from right there in Alaska… I guarantee you’re being taken advantage of.
I think it’s also very sad that the some of cruise lines are endorsing this company when they have no BBB...
Read moreBought earrings there while on cruise excursion. Was promised lifetime exchange & upgrade option, receiving credit for full retail amount paid. However, within their 2 week return policy, I contacted them to request an exchange/upgrade becauseI received a higher credit line than expected & great financing option with zero interest. No response received after multiple emails for 6 weeks, so I filed a dispute with Wells Fargo who financed the purchase. Finally 3 months later I received a call from Monarch stating they apologized for the delay & wanted to discuss options for the return/upgrade transaction. I advised that I no longer wanted an upgrade or to do business with a company who doesn't value my patronage until receiving a dispute from the creditor, so I demanded a return & refund. When I later looked for potential upgrades on their website (because I have integrity & wanted to comply with policy & resolve the issue correctly AND I still loved the gold quartz ring I was trying to get!), they no longer had either of the 2 items that I would have been willing to upgrade to. I reiterated that I contacted them & provided all documentation within the 2 week policy to request a return, refund, etc. but they refused to communicate with me in a timely manner, & now they had sold out of the items I wanted instead. They refused to accept my request to return & issue a refund so now I have to pay for the earrings that I haven't worn & probably never will. This company's customer service SUCKS & I will intentionally avoid all of their products...
Read moreJuly 12th I purchased a gold necklace. I do not seem to have a problem with that at this time. You receive a blue free pendent and you can buy matching earrings for $10. I get back to the ship (Royal Caribbean) and I see that they gave me earrings that were damaged, missing a stone. Yeah it’s just $10 so I didn’t sweat it much just want to tell you to look at your items closely before leaving the store. It’s high pressure sales too. Of course the cheaper items they sale are to lure you into the store to try and pressure you to buy their more expensive stuff. The guy dealing with me was high pressure which almost became a turn off. He assumed I wanted the items he was trying to sale me just because it was pretty. I felt like I was dealing with a used car salesman. I know what I want and how much I need to spend or not spend. I have my priorities in line. They assume you will be attracted to their payment plan options as if you can’t live without that...
