I was really let down by this place. I haven’t experienced anything like this really but here is what happened.
I ordered the 8oz filet steak and requested that it be cooked medium well. When the steak arrived, it was actually rare so when the waitress came back I let her know that the steak was in no way near medium well and she apologized and asked if I wanted her to take it back to the chef to fix it and I said yes please.
The waitress took the steak and after waiting several minutes the steak came back and I kid you not it was so overcooked that it looked like beef jerky. This is a $26.00 steak so yes, I was not happy I complained that the steak was not edible like this and the waitress then apologized and said the chef wants to buy me dessert.
My immediate thought was huh? Dessert? How about my dinner? They would not replace the steak nor would they take the steak off the bill. I just really couldn’t believe it like they made me pay for a steak that they ruined that I was not able to eat after they burnt it to a crisp.
I understood nothing was going to come of it so I just got up to use the restroom to cool off and jeez really you should have seen the bathroom it was really disgusting. Someone did a number 2 in the toilet and did not flush it and then in the urinal there was urine all over the floor this was really sickening.
I refused the free dessert offer because I wanted my dinner not dessert.
I left literally with no dinner and hungry I then went to go get a pizza.

Read moreWas seated quickly then asked to move bc they messed up and needed my table for a party. No problem, tried reseating me beside a railing and another table with no room for chairs to move without hitting the table behind which was about 2 inches apart, so I asked to be moved to the booth at window, they obliged. Asked for a sweet tea, server said unsweet, I repeated sweet tea she then advised they had sugar packets on the table, so I declined and got a coke. Went ahead and ordered bc I researched where I wanted to eat at for my 1st night here, this place was close by and food looked appealing. Got my salad which was lukewarm as if it had been sitting out ate 1/3 of it before trying the bread which was actually fresh and soft. My meal which was the crab cake dinner with a baked potato came out within 10 minutes. The potato I could tell was over cooked. Once I smashed to open it, I could see the black scorch marks as if it had been in the microwave to heat it up, but it wasn't hot at all so I was confused as to why but was burnt and not even warm at all. The butter wouldn't even melt that was on it so I scraped it off to the side. The crab cakes were decent but the meal and experience could've been better. This was my 1st time being in key west and as a solo traveler at that so picking where I want to spend my money at is very important. Probably wouldn't choose this place again and will try somewhere else even if it means paying more ,if I get better...
Read moreThis was, hands down, the worse meal I had in Key West and the worse prepared meal I've had in 35 other countries. Spending over $100 for two, without tip, we were subjected to Alligator bites that must have been delivered frozen from Sysco Foods. They were over breaded and greasy, at the same time. Not an easy accomplishment. I ate 5 or 6 to give them a chance, but it didn't get any better. The lobster bisque soup, no kidding tasted like it came from a off brand Campbell's soup can from yesterday with a gallon of water added to it. It was some floating oil, maybe butter, and I didn't find any lobster but it was so watery I could barely identify it. After two spoonfuls I thought it wasn't stirred so I stirred it, and tried two more, the stirring didn't help. I put it next to the other plate. Then the main course was prime rib and lobster tail, I was holding out hope here. The prime rib was grey and off colored red. It no joke reminded me of the boilled bacon in Better Off Dead. The lobster tail was overcook and lacked flavor so much, lemon and butter couldn't save it. The best part of this meal was the baked potato, it was well cooked and the bread was good. And if it was called Duffy's Bread and Potatoes I would have given it 5 stars, but it isn't. I have to honestly tell others to avoid this restaurant, it's not a good value at McDonald's prices and even the good server couldn't make the food eatable enough for...
