Twilight zone but I would come back. I tried to come here once before (late lunch, 3-4pm) but it was a 20 minute wait, despite there only being a handful of people in here. Same thing todayâŚI was by myself (3pm) and willing to sit at the bar but she said there was a wait. I looked around and saw one table (w/3 people) and 2 individuals sitting at the bar. I later saw those two people behind the music equipment, preparing to play their set. I told her I could only wait the 5 minutes and if it was going to be longer, let me know. 5-10 min later, I was seated but then waited another 5-10 minutes for the server who was standing behind the counter (doing I donât know what). The hostess came by and told me it would be a few more minutes for the server as she shrugged her shoulders đ¤ˇââď¸ When the server came, I asked if the Summit Tower was a roll and she said, yes. It took another 15 minutes to get my food⌠no other food came out between the time I ordered and getting my food. Meanwhile I decided to order a beer from the menu, which seemed to really throw off the hostess ( who I asked for the beer because I hadnât seen my server again). Then the server came back and said they didnât have the beer I wantedâŚthey only had 2 of the beers in their list đ
When I got my food, I was surprised that it wasnât the traditional roll (since I had asked). The only reason I gave this place 4 âď¸ is because it was delicious. It was very difficult to eat since the pieces were so big and it was too messy to hold. It fell apart as I tried to eat itâŚđ¤ˇââď¸
For meâŚit was just a weird experience. It felt more like a doctors office where you get one at a time service. Because I had tried to eat here before and got the same vibe, I presume this is the norm. Donât get me wrongâŚI donât like to be rushed when I eat but this was just weird. Good food but otherwise weird ⌠but hey, itâs key...
Read moreWe came in on Tuesday night seeking some sushi and they sang quite the tune for us. While the crab rangoon was a special, it should be a staple on the menu. It was too good, perfectly crisp and professionally assembled. The filling was creamy and absolutely packed into the wrapper.
For dinner, I opted for the pork belly ramen with tonkotsu broth, which came out hot and 10 minutes after the appetizer. Really pleased with the cook of the egg, whose yolk was nearly translucent. It presented excellent flavor with no need for any additional seasoning.
My wife loves sushi, so she selected the SoBe roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll. The SoBe had excellent flavor, the tuna was fresh and the avocado was a beautiful creamy counterpoint to the truffle and eel sauce. The shrimp tempura was well received, offering a nice texture against the cucumber. One main point of emphasis was the cut of the sushi, sliced thinly which made it easier to eat and handle with chopsticks.
On a side note, my wife was trapped in the bathroom stall for 20 seconds because the lock was a bit rusted. I can admit that some of claims of customers waiting to be attended to by the wait staff is true, having seen a table of four wait 10 minutes to get water. Conversely, the staff were very patient explaining the menu and food to the family (from Norway), which was a nice recovery.
The hit or miss approach to service is not equivalent to the quality of food, which cripples good businesses from receiving the reviews they deserve. 5 stars, but it could've...
Read moreIâd love to say it was a good experience.. but it wasnât. We came to this place looking for good sushi based on reviews, I really think this time around we were greeted with a bitter experience, our server, Naz K was really nice at first, only to take out her true nature by ending our visit with a really rude attitude all over.
We ordered couple dishes, including the Volcano roll (two of them) got a pretty fair experience with every dish but this, only to tell this person (Naz) that the volcano roll had spoiled Salmon on top.. Say less, this person just flipped her attitude to the rude side in a matter of seconds, she told us that it was the way it was supposed to feel and taste but it was not, the salmon was actually spoiled; she promised to go get the manager to see how to solve the issue, once again, in a really rude manner, we were gentle and educated with this person in order not to create a big drama but this person only took it to another level and made sure to stay there for the rest of the âexperienceâ (not a good one for sure)
She then came saying they had it voided and almost slapping the check to the table, not even caring that we told her weâd like to order some dessert afterwards.
Our advice to people coming to this place, if you truly value customer service and experience, skip this one, it leaves lots to be desired.
Advice for our waitress (Naz K) please, if you are going to have a job in the customer service area, Learn how to properly treat...
