First off walking in the restaurant it was cute and got seated right away , but then is when the nightmare started! We sat there for about 15 mins before getting greeted and our server Claudine was Super Rude ! I order a waffle and wanted it soft along with my bacon ! She keep telling me that not how they did it ! That people in nc like they stuff overcooked . The waffle was bought to my table and it was completely overcooked ! She proceeded to tell me that she told me about it ! And telling me how wrong I was and had to deal with it ! I ask could I switch it out with pancake and told me that I would still have to pay for it ! And then started being even more rude and passive aggression ! She finally get to talking to the manger where I could see them talking about how I didn’t want to pay for my food which was not the case ! The manager Summer came over and completely change my mood she was super sweet and talk to the cooks about just making it soft ! And when our original server came back over while we were talking to summer kept saying how she told me that they only made them completely overcook and how I was wrong while standing there telling the manger In Front of me ! She then say in front of us and the manger that I didn’t want to talk to her and that I asked to switch server which was not the case ! She started to act like a child and walking by and saying unnecessary remarks and talking about us to the table behind us ! Overall the food was good but our server Claudine was the WORST SERVER I HAVE EVER HAD ! And need to be talk to about her attitude and the way she treated and talks to people she could have flip it around and made a tip for me still but instead we gave...
Read moreFirst off it actually pains me to have to give a bad review after so many years of quality food and service but ITS THE TRUTH. The sad truth is bobs has gone way down hill since ACTUAL BOB the owner passed away. Soon as you walk in you have the view, the show, on the main tv which is a VERY LIBERAL ANTI-PATRIOTIC HATEFUL SHOW dividing customers within the diner. Plus an all female morning staff covered in rainbows and tyedye in a southern redneck patriotic setting which is and will remain the actual nagshead/obx experience. I ordered a blt add fried egg and of course this has become the regular process at bobs for the last six years to send back a incorrect order. I receive my first sandwich with a sunny side up egg running all over the entire sandwich, so of course I send it back while specifying what I actually wanted and what did I receive back in less than two minutes the same sandwich with wet yolk covering the bread, bacon and lettuce with the same egg but now fried completely looking like they tossed it in a blender also. So yes I walked it to the female owner, explained to her what happened and needed a refund. I didn't even receive an apology just an "oh oops" and a playful laugh along with refund. People have usually a week or less to ENJOY themselves out of an entire year so an oops and laugh isn't cutting it. Bobs has been going downhill drastically just like the obx has for the last six years. It has nothing to do with covid and at this rate obx will become san francisco, the jersey shore or even worse ghetto va beach...

My family and I have enjoyed Bob’s Grill many times in the past, especially while on vacation, and we’ve always appreciated the food and the overall atmosphere. However, after our recent visit, we are left with mixed feelings, primarily due to an unfortunate interaction with an employee.
While we were waiting for our food, my wife was holding our 6-month-old son, leaving his high chair available for our diaper bag and protective liner. At this moment, a waitress named Jennifer—who had red hair—approached our table and proceeded to take the high chair with our belongings on it. When we attempted to stop her, she casually remarked, “Y’all don’t need this,” and took it anyway. I had to reach across my wife and child to grab our items back.
It’s important to note that there were plenty of available high chairs in the restaurant, and we were not blocking or impeding any other guests. The people seated next to us were also taken aback by the interaction.
While we were satisfied with the food and the service from our primary waitress, this incident left a sour taste. As a family, we will be reconsidering future visits to Bob’s Grill. We hope management will address this situation, as no guest should feel disrespected or inconvenienced in this manner, especially when dining with young children.
We wish Bob’s Grill the best and hope that this feedback leads to better customer service...
