First time here... Been driving past for a bit and finally remembered at a time I was hungry.
First the good... They mean it when they say hot. Many times you find something that says it is hot and you just laugh... Don't do that here. I did the 'hot' setting (4 of 5) and was sweating from the get go and definitely was feeling the heat.
Second (and still good)... Portions are great. The chicken in the sandwich was 2x the bun. It was really big and juicy. The pickles are good but the slaw is a bit different than what I would want on a chicken sandwich. Overall really good. I wish you would get more pickles on the side... But it is a side. The wings were huge. I was leery of the price for 6 wings, but they didn't disappoint. The side of cole slaw with the wings was sad (to go sauce container)... But since I didn't like the slaw anyway... Not an issue.
Now the bad... My wife's chicken fingers were chewy and rubber-like. Not sure if they were frozen and not cooked well or what was up... But my wife took one bite and turned them down. I took one bite and threw them away... Not what you want chicken fingers to be like.
Other than the issue with the fingers it was a good meal. Like I said ... Portions are good and they bring the heat. Will try again, but expect my...
Read moreI'm Korean American so I've got the best of both worlds with eating K(orean)FC in Korea & southern fried food. This place nails it: hot, fresh, juicy, flavorful, and crunchy fried chicken. It seems like a strange hybrid to combine some Korean flavors with an American take on this cuisine but it works.
Customer service was wonderful. You can use a kiosk but I told the guy at the front I didn't want soda with our combo. They have filtered water at the front and he even offered extra waffle fries with our order to replace the soda. Win!
We recommend Combo 4: fried chicken with half soy garlic, half mild dry rub, which was medium hot (aka at a Thai restaurant 3 stars). A bit spicy for mild but still enjoyable. Also comes with original sauce, a small side of slaw and pickles. Waffles fries were solid. All seasoned well and nothing overpowering.
Affordable and plenty of seats. There was a high chair for my toddler. He gave lots of approvals too and smiled at me.
Definitely coming back here!
PS: The Studio Ghibli instrumental caught me off guard because it was relaxing as opposed to the usual country/rock music you would find at most joints, but I personally liked it. Lunch hour is busy so it's nice to find a place to slow down and see all kind of people here enjoying...
Read moreExtremely tasty. I got the chicken sando with medium spice. It was spicier than I expected, but in a good way. If Chipotle's spicy red salsa is your north star, then this is a little bit spicier.
I ordered online and it was smooth. There were many different numbers on the receipt(s) so it was slightly confusing when the person said my name, but I wasn't looking at the right number on the receipt so it was a little confusing but easy enough to sort out since not many people have my name. There also wasn't a clear pickup time when ordering with the "ASAP" option, but it was ready about ~15min after I submitted the order which is just dandy.
10/10 would recommend and will go again.
** UPDATE
I have ordered here weekly and have continued to have nothing but a great experience and tasty food. So far I have also had the Hot and Crazy Hot, neither were that bad spice wise. I was for sure feeling it by the end of the Crazy hot, but its more of a slow/accumulation burn. Your first bite isn't going to...
