Definitely a TERRIBLE place for food and service!!! Also, if you think you’re going to play pool go elsewhere !!! They definitely seem to depend their revenue based on local pool leagues that play here and it makes it very unfortunate for tourists or even regular locals who just want to maybe get a bite to eat…a drink after a long day…. but unfortunately the long employed waitress; Christy Gonzalez only caters to the men playing pool with no regards to any waiting patrons…. Be prepared to wait for at least 20 min before getting served your first drink…even longer if you’re a female….. I wonder if the owner Eddie is even aware that she consistently serves the men from the leagues for example 4 drinks but only charges for one so that they can tip her extra in tip for exchange…. She’s robbing him blind!! He’s not even aware! Ask your weekly pool players Eddie…check your inventory! They’re all guilty…. She has the worst attitude with everybody except the men (check out the other reviews)….BEFORE you order food really take a look around and definitely check out the disgusting conditions of the restrooms and also keep in mind the owner’s dog running around the establishment….(check former reviews ) even in the KITCHEN 🤢…..soooo be aware before ordering food! First time in a Bar Rescue Bar. Remembering it is a Dive Bar it pretty much as expected. Card game near entrance was fairly quit and orderly. Tables were topped kegs, stools were hard, floor were not to gotten down on but well swept. Menu was limited wife and I split pastrami on grill cheese w/onions and tater tots. Both were very good and worth having again. Our waitress was Evie was only there a few months none the less had a huge smile and greeted almost immediately. There were 6 to 8 pool players 6 at tables and 5 at the bar. Being the only bartender, waitress server she handled it extremely well and always with her smile. Ordered Bloody Mary's for us both. Wife asked if they were spicy and Evie said yes so Wife ordered hers less spicy. Mine was spicy but was the way I liked. After runner (late lunch early dinner) I ordered a Godfather ( scotch and ammaretta. She didnt know how to mae it so had to look it up. They didn't carry chivas regal. Googled pool hall. Went on a Saturday and went inside. It said there would be karaoke I thought but maybe I was wrong but there was a DJ playing club or house music. Very loudly. Also all the pool tables were taken over by amateur semi professional? Pool players by the looks of with there their pool gloves ( didn't know there was such a thing) custom made pool sticks and leather vests! It was quite obvious they had been there awhile and weren't leaving. I'm not sure if a tournament was going on, practice but something can be posted so if regular want to go play pool they know it's reserved. Either way we left and had dinner elsewhere.
