Before writing this review I read what others wrote. I always find it interesting to compare my experience with other people's experience.
ATMOSPHERE--My experience was terrific. When my wife and I arrived the place was fairly full. It was Superbowl Sunday and they had the game playing on the televisions. But it did not seem like anyone cared about the game, if they did they probably would have been home with friends or at a sports bar partying.
We were greeted right away, and asked if we had a table preference. The table was clean and the seats comfortable. Our waitress was attentive, but not intrusive and always smiling. She was very pleasant. The restaurant is in a strip mall and is bright and cheery. They have a back room that was being prepped for Valentine's day with pink lighting, hearts and other decorations. It looked cute.
FOOD FIRST IMPRESSION--I was skeptical. I began by ordering a beer, and then looked at the appetizers. It was then I noticed...Egg Roll...pork, veg cheesesteak, shrimp. CHEESESTEAK EGG ROLL, uh oh I thought...never saw a cheesesteak Egg Roll on the menu in NYC's Chinatown, San Francisco's, Chinatown or in Toronto or D.C. nor any other Chinese restaurant anywhere.
So, I ordered it!
I had to try a cheesesteak Egg Roll. And guess what? It was good. A little small, but crispy and tasty...and it did taste like cheesesteak in a light, flaky, crisp dough...if only it was about 4 times bigger.
FOOD OVERALL--Everything was very tasty and perfectly seasoned. Some of the dishes were a little different than I am accustomed to eating, but that did not diminish how good they were. For instance, the Chicken Lo Mein had some green pepper in it, and the Fried Rice was lacking some scrambled egg and bean sprouts.
We had Fried Dumplings...portion was six large dumplings that were great, especially when dipped in the sauce.
We had Cheesesteak Egg Roll...small, but really good.
Pork With Garlic Sauce...really tasty with some heat and a ton of pork---a lot of pork--nice garlic flavor and a perfect amount of vegetables. It was a very large serving and came with white rice...I want more right now.
Chicken Lo Mein...perfect. Had the greasy flavor and texture (a good thing if you know good lo mein) that can't be beat, and had the perfect balance of noodles to veggies and chicken. (Just went to fridge and had a fork full of it cold--it is so good.)
And we had Pork Fried Rice...I am so mixed on this. It had the perfect NYC fried rice taste (and was brown as it should be--not yellow), it was not salty nor did it need extra salt--the taste was perfect--BUT--the rice was slightly under cooked, (which may be the norm because at least one other review said the same thing), and it needed some egg and bean sprouts.
Villa Canton--PLEASE COOK THE RICE A FEW MINUTES LONGER!!!
EXPERIENCE OVERALL--I live about 35 minutes away, and I am often in Villa Canton's area (it is on route to many places I go to in Kissimmee/Orlando). So, I will be back...a...
Read moreMy wife and I decided to try this restaurant as you really don’t see any sit down and order Chinese restaurants anymore. When we first entered the restaurant we were impressed by the cleanliness and hospitality of the host. They handed us the menu and at first I was confused. We opened the menus and all we saw was everything written in Spanish? I thought this was strange as being a Chinese restaurant. Flipped a few pages and then saw the menu in English. Lol. We decided to try the chicken lo mein and pan fried noddles with chicken, shrimp and pork. Of course added some spring rolls. The food came out hot, quick and look very appetizing on the plates. They tasted amazing!! Not to much salt, just right! When I explained to our waitress that we have never been there and everything was delicious! I did ask about the Chinese food and everything in Spanish, she explained that the owner was from Venezuela and that is a fusion of Chinese and Spanish.. wow again I told her it was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was soda came in a can and if you wanted refills, you would need to buy another, over all the prices were excellent, the staff was very friendly, restaurant was very clean and the food was well worth it. We will...

The food presentation is on spot and the food has a flavor of its own but they both complement eachother so well! It's a match made in heaven with the VENEZUELAN and CHINESE style of food that is prepped .
