Zuru Ramen & Hibachi — Restaurant in Kissimmee

Food was good and what you would expect from your standard Japanese style menu. I tried the ramen with pork broth and pork for the meat. It was good but not my best bowl in the greater Orlando area. However, for a place in the location that it is, I was highly surprised. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a quick bowl.

The business is clearly family owned, and the proprietors were sweet and attentive. Service was great, and the business was clean. Big thumbs up from me.

The atmosphere is a bit lacking as the choice of music was definitely a bit of a downer. It's clear that they were aiming to have calm, royalty free music playing, but it had the wrong effect. Something a bit more upbeat would have been nice. Otherwise, it's a quiet place as their main focus is takeout/delivery. But it is nice to have a place to dine in at.

My final opinion on Zuru Ramen is overall good! I can highly recommend giving it a shot if you're nearby. Its location is decent and has quick access to highway 192 and 535, with a red light that can easily be accessed. The food is good, the establishment is clean, with super friendly service. Oh, did I mention they do takeout/delivery? And for those fried rice lovers out there, they do have good yum yum sauce (we could not find mention of it in the menu, site, or reviews). Not only was it overpriced for the portions and quality. Tip was automatically added to the check, and then the waitress acted upset that I wanted my change back for a $22 meal that $5 tip was automatically added too and I handed $40. Did she actually get upset that I wasn't going to give a $18 tip for a $22 meal? Would not visit this location, much better spots immediately around this area.

EDIT: I'm glad they responded with "we only charge with large tables". That is completely fine, what isn't fine, is that the waitress became visably upset that I wanted my change back. Let's do some very rough math

$22ish meal, plus $5 automatically added tip because of "large group". So we are at roughly $27 now. I hand 2 $20 bills. That's $13 change. A normal person would of handed back a $10 and 3 $1's. Possibly 2 $5's and $3 in ones. Not 13 ones.

Also no where in the menu, signs on the bars, no signs on the doors, anywhere that I could find that said "tip is automatically included".

This place is better than most restaurants I’ve visited with this type of food. Everywhere I've been has disappointed me. I can’t express enough how perfect all the dishes were. Im grateful to have spent my money here. If your tried of rotten service and dog food from fast food or other restaurants like this that try to replicate dishes like this then I implore you. Come here. I assure you I’ve wasted my money elsewhere. Im glad to have stumbled upon this place. Im no atmosphere snob. Im a cook who simply wants to find good food. Im not a decor connoisseur and can see past all of it. Anyone who mentions this couldn’t sound more pretentious. All I care about is is it clean.
