After revisiting this location, mainly for the ice cream side with Baskin Robbins, I have decided to update my review. Where as before, the staff were averaging between apathetic to downright rude; it appears new staff is highly trained, much more friendly, and hiccups in the mobile ordering process are ironed out. I have been greeted and checked out with ease with zero issues and everything is prepared as ordered and on time. docked 1 point because the location still remains a little dirty. A renovation may fix this, ort they need to hire a little more staff to keep the inside portion clean.
old review: There are plenty of businesses in the Kyle area where day time management is handled by what appears to be high school students. The difference there is that surprisingly most of these young folks do a terrific job of managing and customer service. This Dunkin Donuts location is a constant mess. Using the application to do a mobile order nearly always results in you getting your order after everyone in line has already been served. Even if your order was done well in advance with you putting in the work to ensure proper time for pickup. Today was the day I had to leave a review. The application allowed me to send an order through because it is under the belief that store hours begin at 5:30 a.m.. I was informed by the staff that they don't open until 6:30 a.m. also I know for a fact they serve me at 6 a.m. before. I told them the information that I ordered through the app ahead of time so they have my money. I told them that the app says they open at 5:30 a.m. I was not offered an apology or an escalation to a manager I was simply told that's the app. As if in this economy I have to let it take my money and I need to drive to my work location and haggle my time over the phone to get my money back and...
Read moreHere I am again. Sadly nothing new. I gave this place a try again, since it's been awhile (11 months) and hopefully their policies had changed or different management. Nope. Showed up to get an order, A simple 3 scoop ice cream sundae. First it wasn't ready or even in the process of getting ready. The young man had to go and print the order. Then what came next....Ok mam, we are out of...... Sorry....that was it. I said I am so tired of this. Young man said ok and crumpled up the paper. I may have had too little of patience, but I don't understand how not even ONCE has this store had the inventory to have a complete order or even had it ready. They are always "out" of something. It doesn't matter the day or time of day you go. This rarely happens at other restaurants so its something with this place or Dunkin themselves. Since a Dutch Bros is opening nearby and will be another competitor, Hopefully it will cause them to provide better service for their customers. I doubt I'll give them another try though.
Every time I go to pick up an order from this location it's never ready. I mentioned this the last time I went and one of the girls said they don't make it until you arrive so its fresh. For one, That defeats the purpose of a quick pick up. I have orders from other restaurants and all of them are ready or wrapping it up. This has been the case even of its just donuts or ice cream. So the reasoning is doubtful. Second, every time they are out of something that was ordered. I always have to get a substitute. Whoever is the purchaser for their inventory needs to do a better job. That above is probably why they don't have it ready when you arrive. So just a heads up if you order for pick up be prepared to wait 15 to 30 minutes for your order. I ordered a dozen doughnuts (6 glazed, 2 strawberry sprinkled, 2 Boston cream, 2 blueberry glazed) and 3 breakfast wraps through DoorDash when I get my food the wraps have so much hard cheese on them I can’t even see the egg and the bacon was so fatty it tasted like rubber. There’s supposed to be egg, bacon, cheese hashbrowns and chipotle sauce on it as you can see there’s no hashbrowns or chipotle sauce. The cheese was so hard it stuck to my teeth and was like a thick gum texture HORRIBLE as you can see there’s burnt spots in the cheese. I call the manager and asked if I could bring the wraps back in if she could re make them and she just wanted to argue that she made my order and it only had half a slice of cheese which just isn’t true, IF THIS IS HOW A MANAGER MAKES THE FOOD IMAGINE HOW AN EMPLOYEE DOES? I order these a few times a week and I’ve never had this much cheese on a wrap and as a cheese lover I wouldn’t have minded the extra cheese if it wasn’t so burnt and hard or whatever it was. She finally says if I wanna bring the food back in she’ll remake them so My Husband goes to return them and I end up opening the donut box and I see that I got two sprinkled one blueberry and the rest all glazed. The glazed donuts are old as hell I’m assuming because I put in the order through DoorDash, they decide to just give me All of their old donuts so they weren’t liable and it would be a DoorDash issue.
