If I could give 0 stars I would. My girlfriend and I recently moved further south from Austin and this is now the closest smoothie king to us. We have come here three times and each time there was a different issue.
We placed an order online for two strawberry kiwi breeze for pick up. When we got to the speaker they said they were out of strawberries and wouldn’t let us substitute a different smoothie. $17 down the drain and they told us they couldn’t give us a refund and that we needed to call smoothie king. We called multiple times and still have not gotten any kind of refund.
We came back and this time ordered at the drive through to avoid the online order mess. This time they didn’t have any kiwi juice but no worries we hadn’t paid yet. So we ordered two different smoothies. My girlfriend has a peanut allergy, which means I have a peanut allergy and we always ask for the allergy bowls. The girl working the drive through seemed to have no idea how to handle a food allergy and 0 idea what an allergy bowl even is. After explaining smoothie kings food allergy accommodations to the smoothie king employee we got our smoothies. They were quite honestly some of the worst smoothies we’ve ever gotten from any smoothie king location.
This morning we (foolishly) thought that the third time might be the charm. We were wrong. They again didn’t know what the allergy bowls were and our smoothies were somehow around $2 more than they usually are with no price increase listed on the menu. The smoothies were barely blended and tasted completely like protein powder. The smoothie was already separating within the first 2 minutes of the drive home. My straw gets clogged with every sip because of the massive chunks of fruit left unblended. We always take advantage of the free upsize Friday deal and I gave the girl working the drive through my phone with the reward loaded up. She just immediately ran my card without telling me an updated total and offered no receipt. When I checked my bank account I saw that I was charged without the reward applied and it somehow was a different price again. Another $8 down the drain. We’d call smoothie king support but we don’t feel like playing phone tag for an hour again just to not get a refund.
Overall DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD ALLERGIES!!! You have to call ahead to check And make sure they have each individual ingredient in stock if you want the right smoothie Do not come here expecting to get the same price for the same item each time. They will charge you a different amount for the same smoothie. Do not come here expecting a quality smoothie or even a smoothie that’s fully blended. Over $25 wasted

I have been coming to this location since it opened and have been more than understanding with the mistakes by just not saying anything about all the mistakes that seem to happen ; Because I love the idea of a smoothie place in Kyle, but when mistakes are happening with every order , enough is enough! The turnover at this place is high . They are always hiring new staff , and from the looks of it not properly trained , but the staff seems nice . Not sure why there is a sign that says customers must wear mask during the drive through yet the young male employee WAS NOT wearing a mask when I drove up and he was making the smoothie. I love smoothies in general but NOT sure if I can stand this location any longer . There’s been things from whole chunks of ice in the smoothie , only filling the cup 3/4 of the way with a runny liquid juice , which looked like someone drank out of it and left it out To melt , when that’s supposed to be a cold, non runny , smoothie . I am getting really tired of it and feel like I am not getting what I paid for because of how OFTEN it happens . I understand that most staff seems to Be very young, like 16-19 it looks like , but that’s no excuse . I blame management . Please train them better. I tried to have them re make my 7$ small smoothie for me because it was almost like room temperature liquid , but they made it wrong again and the manager Justin got super defensive about it . He said it was my fault They made the remake wrong , saying I forgot to mention the additive And was extremely rude over a small 20 oz smoothie , For no reason . Not that big of a deal to get mad at a customer over. It’s. It like it was my fault . I was ,being extremely kind then he just gives me so much attitude , To a customer who comes in often Or some weeks daily to spend money . not good professionalism or how a leader should act . . I am not buying dollar menu burgers And shouldn’t get something sloppy . Even after that incident I went back there and they still messed up the smoothie half the time ! It’s a hit or miss Or there is just discrepancies when you re order the same smoothie , different tastes or consistency . I never had this much issues in south Austin location . Also the line can be ridiculous at times . They should utilize the parking spots, be like other restaurants during this time , and maybe bring out the smoothies to the car In parking spot instead of making cars wait in the Slow line because they will just take off, like they have been doing , And you will lose business . I myself have seen the line long and slow looking and won’t even bother . Maybe staff would also feel Less rushed and maybe make proper , unsloppy smoothies if things would flow better and training is better . I do hope this place gets better because it is convenient for me , but I do hate paying 7, 8 or 9 $ for a sloppy , melted...
Read moreI arrived at the drive thru speaker box around 5:15 to order. There were about 3 cars ahead of me. It took 15 minutes just to get to the window. I figured they were very busy so I didn't mind. I got to the window around 5:30 the girl at the window gave me my total and I paid. A few minutes passed and I see her grab a drink carrier and put drinks and straws in there and walk to the back. I had assumed that it was my order. She never came back to the front. After waiting about 10 minutes another girl came to the window asking if I had paid already. I told her yes. She asked me what my order was I gave her all the info. After a few more minutes I knocked on the window and said "I'm sorry but I have to go I have a online class starting in 15 minutes, I need to get home. Please refund my card." She said okay one second. She opens the window to tell me she couldn't find my order to refund me.... Is this a joke? Seriously. She stated she just clocked in and the girl who was working the drive thru left, she went to the back to look for her but she was gone. I told her it's okay I needed to leave. I left with nothing. I paid $15 which I later find out I paid for someone else's order after reading the receipt the girl had given me!!! I couldn't believe what just happened. I will never visit this location again. I pretty much paid for 45 minutes of my time sitting in their drive thru only to receive nothing. It's not even worth my time to drive back and explain this situation all over again.
