So now I feel like I have mad cow disease after eating at Chili's. After eating 3 bites of the steak, my wife stopped me short of eating what looks like freezer-burnt steak that was yet to be dethawed. I thought it was cooked, but it was grey and cold. the lighting is terrible so I couldn't tell, but that it was chewy and gross. The side dishes were of broccoli and mashed potatoes, the best way to put it is that everything was undercooked, the broccoli was supposed to be streamed and it was more blanched than anything. I just feel like I am starting to crave brains and am becoming pail. What do I do? EAT THE COOK. He probably is more cooked than my frozen steak. I wish I could post pictures...so the waitress takes it back to the cook and it comes back 15 seconds later with it cut down the middle. I am thinking the cook thought to himself "Dun" on two different occasions. I gave up eating it. And demanded brains. We did get a discount because I took pictures of how terrible it is. Why the hell are there tablets on the table now? Driving us further apart. They don't even work to pay or order...They do have cameras on them. Maybe they are studying us, I turned mine around for privacy and less of a distraction. Don't know if I'll be back, rather would have gone to Santiago's or Mumtas.
3 Years later:
I have called the corporate a few times, they have just now updated this new response thing to only a month ago reviews, so...I tell everyone I know not to eat here I've had 11,000 views on the picture I uploaded. Seems to me they only cared after I pointed out to them there discrepancy of reviews; have they started to reach out. Lame, I totally expect the same generic response to "call there 800 number", but they have my number and my email, but they have yet to try to make amends with something that made me sick and never eat cows again after that visit. Ask anyone. Traumatized from my visit from Chill's to the point of avoiding them at all costs, and never eating cow again because what they served me was still "mooing"!!
So call me if you want to make this right. I literally wonder what ya'll will come up with....
Read moreCame here at the start of late night happy hour with some friends for my husband's birthday. Before we were seated, we asked if we could get the happy hour food in the section we were seated. We were assured yes, and were seated. Once we started to order, we were told we couldn't get happy hour and would need to move... So we started to move and were told to stop and that they would make sure we got the deals where we were. It then took over a half hour to get waters even though the restaurant was virtually empty (and the managers were avoiding us). I told the waitress at the very beginning that we were there for my husband's birthday. We all ordered easy things, many of which were wrong (and all of our chips - for queso, salsa, and guac - were crumbs so we couldn't use them!), and though we only took about twenty minutes to eat, we were ignored most of the time and it took two hours for our meal...at which point the waitress said the kitchen was closed and they wouldn't do anything for my husband's birthday (even if we paid). Then we got our checks, which not only had twice as many items added, but after three attempts at clarification, did not have happy hour pricing! The waitress said we could speak to her manager so we agreed, but the manager only came out to passive aggressively grab dishes and refused to speak to us. We eventually got the pricing after much stress and four attempts at figuring out what we actually ordered (we had to write it out for them), which took more than a half hour. We had plans after our "quick bite" at Chili's but after walking in right at 9:00pm and not getting to leave until nearly midnight, we had to forgo our birthday plans and many of us had our workdays sabotaged the next day from the late night. I had tried to plan something special for my husband's birthday, but he said it was the worst restaurant experience he's ever had :( they did nothing to make up for it, again, even skipping the birthday dessert. Would easily be one star but I know the waitress was trying and was just as frustrated with her managers as we...
Read moreWe ordered for pickup on Sunday evening. My husband brought it home and we ate what we thought was our food. My husband order a 6oz steak, corn on cob no seasoning , and loaded mash potatoes instead of broccoli. What he got was not this at all. This sad excuse of a steak looked more like a pork chop and also looked like it had sat for quite some time (even though he was actually 5 minutes early to pick up our order AND we ordered hours ahead.) There was also a mountain of broccoli instead of the loaded mashed potatoes. The only thing right about his meal was the corn on the cob. My son and I ordered quesadillas, they were very poorly assembled and rather on the luke warm side (again as though our food sat for a long time before we picked it up). When I called to complain, I only complained about my husbands meal. We are dieting and this is our cheat meal day, we still count our calories and had done so for each of our meals we ordered and paid for which was not cheap BTW. I called and spoke with a manager after dinner, her name was Sarah. I explained my husbands dinner sittuation, after he had eaten some of this wretched steak we noticed the name on the ticket is not his. They gave us someone elses order. ( To Don the other customer- sir we saved you a stomach ache I'm sorry you wasted your money but I hope the steak that was meant for my husband was better than the one he received.) This manager basically tried to make me feel like I shouldn't have called at all because the steak we got was a rib eye (the saddest rib eye ever!) Which was more expensive than the meal we paid for. It is not about the price we paid, it was the inconvenience. She agreed reluctantly to send a gift card via email for his meal, she said this would be done by the end of the night. It is now two days later, no email (yes we checked the spam) so this is the review you all earned. I will tell everyone to avoid Chillis in Lafayette on 287, and I will also be avoiding it...
