Tiki Republik — Restaurant in Lake Arrowhead

Our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, the greeter asked us our party size but was quickly distracted by someone else and never returned to seat us. After waiting for several minutes, another staff member finally seated us.

We ordered water and iced tea, both of which tasted heavily chlorinated and undrinkable. We decided to start with three appetizers, but after waiting 25 minutes, we were informed that the wings were unavailable. Another 15 minutes passed before they told us our food was “up next,” only for us to wait another 15 minutes and be informed that yet another appetizer was unavailable. Ultimately, only one of the three appetizers we ordered was available.

We spent over an hour at this restaurant, only to receive one appetizer after endless delays and poor communication. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I won’t be returning and would not recommend this...

MY WIFE AND I WENT TO THEIR SISTER RESTAURANT CALLED SUNSETS AND THE FOOD CAME OUT BLAND, DRY CHICKEN DRY MAHI MAHI. I LEFT AND CHECKED OUT TIKI REPUBLIK, UNAWARE AT THE TIME THAT THEY SHARE THE SAME KITCHEN AND POSSIBLY GM. I SPOKE WITH THE GM AT TIKI REPUBLIK ABOUT OUR MEALS AT SUNSETS AND SHE WAS VERY SWEET AND APOLOGETIC. I AM A PERSONAL HUGE FAN OF HAWAIIAN PORK LAU LAU AND SHE SAID THEIR PORK WAS COOKED IN BANANA LEAVES. I HAD TO GET IT! AND SHE COMPED MY MEAL. SHE RESLLY DIDNT HAVE TO DO THAT. I INSISTED ON PAYING. ANYWAY, I TOOK HOME THE PORK BOWL. VERY SIMPLE INGREDIENTS , JUST RICE CABBAGE AND THE PORK. IT WAS AMAZING!!! SIMPLE YET EFFECTIVE! IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! I WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK TO GET THE PORK BOWL...

Drinks and atmosphere are great, food not so much. I’m pretty sure the vegetarian harumaki we ordered was just frozen Costco spring rolls, which isn’t terrible I suppose but to charge that much for frozen costco food and say it’s something else is crazy. In an attempt to find something better we also ordered the salmon and the chicken but both I think were equally disappointing. I would hope the actual restaurant next door has better food but it does not seem promising from that experience. Our bartender was also extremely inattentive but it seemed that the others who were working that night were aware of this and everyone else was very helpful...
