Swirls on the Water — Restaurant in Lake Buena Vista

This place is horrible! I live two hours away. Instead of paying a park (and parking rate) just to have Dole Whip, I was so glad it is offered out of the park. BUT I have yet to be able to indulge! Twice before, I arrived early and waited for them to open at 11am. It never opened, so I left. Second time, I waited well past 11:30-12pm and still had not opened. I asked Disney Team members. They didn't know when it opened, but guessed at 11am.

I went again (third attempt) in 9/2025. I hear a group join me in line. I hear them say, "the machine is down again". They left. I take my chances to stay. Finally my turn. I placed my order (Pineapple Dole Whip) and was told the machine is down. Sounds like this is a reoccuring problem. Not to mention, they claim to open at 11am and yet they aren't open at 11am.

Also with Rainforest Cafe so close, it is hard to hear the employee talk. Even the employee was aggregated.

Don't bother wasting time, energy, money at this place....

I came to my favorite soft serve/yogurt spot today and ordered the new Pistachio/Cherry Dole Whip swirl. I needed to get it to go so I informed the cashier and he said they really only had like a plastic cup to go over it. I said that was fine. When my order was ready, the sole female employee working handed me my order without the plastic cup. I asked if I could get the plastic cup and she said the small paper cup it is in is all she could do. While that was transpiring her other male coworker handed me a plastic cup, like what the first cashier offered. The female employee then slightly scurried off. I thought that was odd social behavior, so I said “hello, this is the plastic cup.” So she would know that there are possible other options. She proceeded to ignore me. I then asked the employee that assisted me “why does she have a horrible attitude like that, especially on Disney property”. She was extremely unprofessional. The time and date was...

Full disclosure - we only go here for Dole Whip, which is amazing, as always. Unfortunately, there is little room to sit here, and the team members don't always understand and/or follow requests/customer instructions.

Recently asked for a 2-flavor mix of 2 different Dole Whip flavors, but was told they can't do that, they could only mix the 2 flavors that were swirled automatically in the machine. (Not sure why they couldn't singly add one flavor, then top it off with the 2nd single flavor).

But then they DID say they could do that, but then only served ONE flavor, completely ignoring the other one. Not a huge deal, just not great customer service. But the Dole Whip still tasted great! Would've been nice if there had been somewhere to sit without having to go way over to another food source...
