Marketplace Co-Op — Local services in Lake Buena Vista

Horrible service tonight. Asked where the nearest restroom was, and it was outside. Come back to get my friend, and they’re closed. My friends phone is dead so I knock and ask if they can get them for me. They say there’s no one besides the three ppl I can see through the door up front. I asked if there’s a loudspeaker and they say no. They close and lock the door. I walked down to the next door and my friend is right there inside waiting for me alone with like 7 other customers. So I knock to get his attention and the same worker (some lady with dark hair) comes over and opens the door. She doesn’t apologize and just says oh he was hiding I didn’t see him. I held myself back from crying and just said I can tell and we left. I wish I had told her to her face that she put us both in a potentially unsafe situation and I wish I knew the stores policy on reuniting families and such because this is not a safe policy!! Also just her blatant lying about how many customers were left. There’s no way you didn’t hear or see more people. Just really upsetting and...

🌟My Favorite Place at Disney Springs🌟

The Marketplace Co-Op feels like strolling into a trendy maze of independent artists and businesses, selling everything from candles (themed after your favorite Disney rides), to household wares, to Magic Bands (they had Kingdom Hearts characters last time I visited!), to artwork, to clothing. There's even a shop dedicated to pets (You want your furbaby to have a doggy bed based on baby Yoda's pod? You got it!).

I almost always leave the Marketplace Co-Op having bought something I can't live without. I'm especially fond of the candle store--one of the first you encounter when you walk in. I bought a Frankincense & Myrrh candle from them one Christmas, and still burn and enjoy it! (You know that smell you get while riding Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom? They've got it too! It's like bringing a bit of the theme parks home with you.)

The Marketplace Co-Op isn't far from the World of Disney Store....

We had been looking for a particular item for my daughter. It was out of stock at Epcot and Magic Kingdom in the size she needed. On our final day we decided to go to Disney Springs to see if we could find it at the World of Disney. Again, we found the item- just not in the correct size. At this point, my daughter just buys an alternative item.

We wonder into Marketplace Co-Op looking for Disney stickers for my luggage, which we didn't find. However, I found Samantha. I explained to Samantha my dilemma regarding the item my daughter had been looking for. She called over reinforcement, Max. Max, listened and took action. He asked me to stay close while he went into the World of Disney to personally locate the item we could not find. Max came back with the item, and I was able to surprise my daughter with it.
