Disney Springs is always a great place to spend time shopping, eating and people watching. Disney has done a great job renovating this area. You'll not recognize it if you've not been for a few years. Parking is great now, they have sensors that tell you how many spaces are left in the garages and which floors the spots are on and which rows the spots are in. It's fantastic given what a madhouse this place is during the day. If you come during the summer it will always be busy, especially around meal times and after 6. There are now high end and medium end options for shopping and eating. You can expect to wait if you don't have reservations for food. You should try the new Morimoto restaurant and the chocolate chip Mickey Mouse cookies with chocolate ears....

Disney has now entered the "mall as destination" market by bringing in name-brand retailers as well as a variety of dining options. Food venues now range from the Epcot food-festival kiosks to mid-range gourmet burgers and more upscale/hip restaurants like STK. Quirky and fun and still available at the old Pleasure Island area with Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar (he was Indiana Jones' pilot in case you didn't know) and the amphicars at the Boathouse.
