Tommy Salami’s: The Meat Sweats Are Worth It. 10/10.
Walked into Tommy Salami’s and immediately thought, “Dang, this place smells clean enough to eat off the air.” Vibe? Immaculate. Atmosphere? Chef’s kiss. Even the bathrooms were so nice I almost took a selfie in there (but held back because, you know, dignity).
The staff? Unbelievable. People actually walked around checking on us like we were VIPs or long-lost cousins. Super friendly, super helpful, not a single side-eye in sight.
Now to the main event: THE SANDWICH. I’m not kidding when I say this was the best salami sandwich of my life. They don’t play around with portions—this thing had enough meat to qualify as a protein shake. And Tommy’s sauce? Absolute flavor bomb. Whatever’s in that stuff should be bottled and guarded by security.
If I lived anywhere near this place, I’d be in danger. I’d be a full-time regular and probably on a first-name basis with the sandwich board. Sadly, I don’t—but this spot just earned permanent status as a must-stop anytime we’re in the Dells.
Tommy, if you’re reading this—bring the goods to Green Bay. The competition wouldn’t stand a chance.
My only complaint? My stomach isn’t big enough to try everything on the menu in one sitting. But hey, that’s what return...
Read moreWe stopped in tonight to check out the new restaurant and eat a little dinner. The food was AMAZING! I had the Empire Berry Pecan Salad, I'm pretty sure it was the best tasting salad I've ever had. SO much going on there, the pecans added a nice crunch along with all the fruits, and the vinaigrette was perfect! My wife had the Tommy Salami's Salad, she said she thought hers was very tasty, until she had a bite of mine, said mine edged hers out. My daughter had the Boss BLTA Sandwich, she usually doesn't eat an entire sandwich but this one she completely polished it off. My other daughter had The Big Cheese Sandwich. She loves grilled cheese sandwiches, but she prefers cibatta bread. This sandwich came with a white waffle bread. She said she will definitely try a different bread next time. The big winner with her meal was the tomato bisque cup of soup that came with it. It was DELICIOUS!
We will definitely be back again!
Edit: We've been back MANY more times since the original review, I LOVE the Empire Berry Pecan Salad. I think I've had that maybe four times now. Last night my wife had the Family Secret salad, she kept saying mmmmm as she was eating. My daughter got the Pesto Situation sandwich, it was DELICIOUS! You must...
Read moreWe were headed to a chain restaurant when someone stopped us and said, “You have to try Tommy Salami’s—it’s a hidden gem!” We love supporting local spots, so we gave it a shot—and we’re so glad we did.
The place has a great vibe and decor, and the experience was already enjoyable, but then it went over the top. My wife stood up to get a refill, and I heard someone say, “Let me get that for you.” It was a pleasant young man who turned out to be the owner, very hands-on and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and left a genuine impression of caring about his guests.
We stayed a little longer than usual because I was doing some work on my laptop—yes, they have free WiFi! They also offer discounts for first responders and veterans, which is a wonderful touch.
While in line for a cookie, I overheard the owner interacting with an employee. He wasn’t just giving directions; he was sincerely concerned about whether the employee had a good experience working there over the summer and even welcomed them back next year. That kind of leadership and care shines through and sets this place apart.
Tommy Salami’s isn’t just a spot for great soups, sandwiches, and treats—it’s a place run with heart....
