5+5🌟 Matt, the owner, what a personable guy. Beautiful establishment! Really knowledgeable about the old world ways, culture and language. Brandon was our server, and he was extremely respectful and efficient. A good man, hard worker and deserves to be tipped well. My wife had the lobster bisque, (the best ever) and The Caesar salad. I had the steak tip sandwich and the shrimp cocktail appetizer. (Perfecto) And my wife ordered the chocolate crusted ice cream for dessert. A Modelo beer in the bottle, on the house no less, "TY"🫶 awesome place. And besides all of the interesting accoutrements in this establishment, the bathrooms were spotless! And everyone knows if the bathrooms are spotless so is the kitchen! The decor is eclectic old world. This is something that you might see in Italy, Spain, Greece or Armenia, very between World wars decorum. It seems some folks that have stopped there are clueless as to the style that they witness, so sad. This establishment is an Iconoclastic destination, one that you would want to make a habit, or, better yet, a tradition! This is the real deal! 🥇🥇🥇 The only thing they didn't have in this extremely cozy relaxing and intimate establishment was a nice cot I could take a nap in after that huge delicious meal, lol!

I have been here multiple times and have not got a medium steak yet. This burnt steak was it Only reason I go back is my wife loves the salmon. After today I will not be going here again. Here is a pick of my medium steak. After 30 minutes of waiting they asked if I wanted another. If this is a medium steak let my 15 year old be a cook. He can cook medium like this. For being a premium restaurant in Lake Zurich they cook steaks like Fridays! It was October 28th around 5:30. 😂😂😂 I have never ordered a well done steak. I specifically said Medium to Medium well, I want it as pink as possible with no blood. That is what I said word for word. Instead of trying to put the blame back on me why not address the cook so you don’t have this issue again?

Cozy, old-world feel. However, the reuben I had was probably one of the worst. And I love reubens! First of all, a reuben is as much about the sauerkraut as it is the meat. So why serve it in a way that make you have to search to even check if the kraut exists on the sandwich? And why give me an attitude when I pointed this out and asked for extra kraut? And second, how old is the meat when it tastes like it was boiled in bleach? I wondered why I was the only person there during the height of the lunch hour. I drive past this restaurant 3 to 4 times a week and had high hopes again for a restaurant that failed in providing even one of the most basic sandwiches. Based on that only, 1 star for the food, but 5 stars for the ambiance.

Matt, the owner, is a personable and knowledgeable individual who runs a beautiful establishment that offers a unique blend of old world culture and language. The server, Brandon, is respectful and efficient, making the experience enjoyable. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including lobster bisque, Caesar salad, steak tip sandwich, shrimp cocktail appetizer, and chocolate crusted ice cream. The bathrooms and kitchen are spotless, and the decor is eclectic, reminiscent of Italy, Spain, Greece, or Armenia. Some patrons may be clueless about the style, but the establishment is an Iconoclastic destination that would make a habit or tradition. The only downside is the lack of a nice cot for napping after a delicious meal. Overall, this establishment is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the rich history and culture of...
