I was born and raised in Denver. Growing up my dad would go get us donuts every Saturday morning. It became a tradition. Eventhough I knew he did this for us, I somehow was still surprised and overcome with joy as a young kid. I have eaten many donuts in my life and know a good one when I taste it. I moved to the Littleton/Lakewood area almost 5 years ago. One morning I thought about the tradition my dad started and I wanted to do the same with my stepson. I got on the internet and searched for a donut shop nearby and what do ya know, a few blocks away was this place 'Yummy's Donuts'. My stepson and I went and WOW. Best donuts I have ever had in my life. They are so fresh and the staff is so nice and welcoming. Its nice to have an old fashioned style mom/pop store still around. Yeah Dunkin Donuts, Vodoo Donuts etc., are all well known shops, there is something just classic about Yummy's. I so much would rather support a small, friendly and locally owned business than a fast food establishment. We have our own tradition in my family now. I also bring them into work often for my coworkers who have also confirmed the greatness. Yummy's is hands down the best Donut shop in Colorado and in the U.S. I reccommend it to any and everyone! Their donuts are not only fresh daily, but if you get a box or a dozen they are super fresh the days following. I don't know how they work their magic into each and every one but they do. Thanks for your great service and for allowing me to create new memories with my family. Seeing my sons huge chocolate covered face smiling sure does make...
Read moreWell, as things have turned out, I have developed some sort of an affinity for donuts as of late (any sort of "treat food" always goes in spurts for me; it just happens to be donuts at the moment). As such, I was really wanting to veg-out on some sort of donut variety this past Saturday morning. Seeing how I was not feeling too enthusiastic about those I saw at 7-11 (which, admittedly, did cause me to want them in general, though), I sought out the closest donut spot to which I had never been. As it turned out, Yummy's was the closest one to where I was... And I'm glad for that! Not only did they have a solid variety, to include some flavors one might not find elsewhere, they also had a decent selection of drinks. Seeing how I'm not a big coffee drinker, it was nice to have a good variety to choose from. Aside from that, just take notice that they only SEEM to be nearly impossible to find. In actuality, they're right in the corner of the shopping center; one need not drive all the way around the block to get there. I can definitively say that, on the next occasion where I find myself in the vicinity during business hours, I will most...
Read moreYummy’s is hands down the best donuts I’ve had in my life! This is exactly how donuts should taste. Tried their blueberry cake donut, apple cider donut, cinnamon roll, and a cinnamon coconut crisp donut. Wish I took pictures, but just dove into eating them right away. The blueberry cake tastes like donuts from childhood! Incredible! The apple cider donut might be my favorite of all time. The cinnamon roll is HUGE but not overly sweet and greasy like other shops. The cinnamon coconut crisp donut is perfectly balanced with sweetness, spice from cinnamon and coconut with the plush fluffiness of the donut itself. The donuts are so fluffy and delicious! I’ve been so tired of all of the donut shops around having hyper sweet, dripping with icing and super greasy donuts. These donuts are the perfect amount of glaze sweetness with a fluffy bread inside that balances with the sweetness perfectly. It’s just a perfect donut in every way. And the owner’s son Kice is super friendly and really awesome! Love that it’s a family owned business and it’s his dad’s recipe. Seriously, you’ve never had donuts like this! They have new customers...
