So it was my first time going to SmashMeBaby and I went based on all the great reviews. It is located in a building shared with many other restaurants that use a commercial kitchen, but there is no sit down dining area. You can either order online or in person at a kiosk. All menu items are vegan. I used the kiosk to order the truffle burger, with no sides and made a note that I did not want vegan cheese on my burger. There is a fee to use a credit card (they don't take cash), and with the fee and tip the burger was $20. I know truffles are expensive but it's one of the priciest burgers I've ever ordered in my life. I decided YOLO, but was disappointed when my burger came covered in 2 melted vegan slices of cheese, which took some time to scrape off. I was disappointed they disregarded my preparation note and don't even know why there is a section provided to leave a note for the cook. The patties aren't quite as good as an Impossible burger, which honestly would have been much cheaper, but I was impressed by the patties flavor especially because I believe they are made in-house and not supplied from a large vegan brand. Overall, 4/5 experience. I'm a plant-based Vegas local, but probably won't be going back due to the hefty price tag and lack of attention to simple patron preferences, although I do think it was worth experiencing...
Read moreThis place may not be exactly what you're expecting (unless you do better research than I do). It's not a restaurant -- it's a ghost kitchen. We walked up to the building thinking we either had the wrong address or maybe Smash Me Baby was a food truck that wasn't parked there that day ¯(ツ)/¯ but then some other confused hungry people opened a door and told us we were in the right place (because they had to ask). You enter into a small lobby of sorts and use a touch-screen kiosk to order and pay (from a selection of establishments), and the order is given to you through the window at the front desk when it's ready. None of this has to do with the food but is essential to the experience.
The food itself is pretty good. The double classic definitely looked a bit more flat and floppy than the promo photos but the taste was decent. The fries were perfect. The nuggets were good if you really want that deep-fried texture (a lot of veg nuggets don't get that). All in all, we were satisfied, although a place to sit would...
Read moreMy order number was #oysa1 oct. 18,2024 11:02 pm. I was very excited to try a vegan burger here. I placed an order and was given the wrong item even though the box was labeled "no pickles". I simply asked for no pickles or salt and unfortunately they still had both on the burger. I have a medical condition that severely limits my salt intake, and It was mentioned on the special instructions to add no salt on the burger. When i asked staff about it they basically just nonchalantly gave me the same exact burger back. with no modifications and no way of telling that additional salt was added. Staff did not accomodate to the special instructions added on the order. Staff evantually took my burger and said they could not remake it and to just call the number or scan the QR code on the reciept. There was no number on the reciept and the QR code lead to a dead link. . I would very much appreciate a refund on this item due to the lack of care and meeting needs on the initial order. Thank you...
