Getting note of this establishment off a friend's Instagram story was quite the coincidence as this establishment was going to be closing for the season today. I'm glad I swung by.
After finding the location on main street, my father and I walked in and was blessed with the sweet scent of chocolate. With a couple of other parties waiting for their delicious treat, we went up to the counter and was greeted with a quirky but welcoming, "Welcome to the Chocolate Palette!" After that greeting, we ordered 2 Chocolate Mousses and a 7 piece Ăbleskiver in the Butter, Cinnamon & Sugar verity. My father and I devoured the Ăbleskivers in an instant. We liked it enough to order more.
Our second order consisted of 7 Ăbleskivers in the Salted Caramel flavor and having those after we got home was a very nice treat. We also got ourselves a latte and a Milky Way beverage. The hot drinks were welcomed as the outdoor temperature was somewhere in the 20s. Boy were those worth the wait.
To conclude, all of the dishes (and drinks) we ordered (and consumed) were quite delightful and well worth the price. Moreover, you're supporting a local business! I will be sure to make another visit if I do swing by Purcellville...
