Good cider, bad service. We walked in to an almost empty bar, there were 4 or 5 people sitting at the bar and the rest of the place was empty. We walk in and stand at a table in the bar area. The bartender made eye contact and said nothing. No âwelcome inâ or âhi how are youâ or anything (this wasnât our first time there). We stood around for close to 5 minutes before we finally asked if we could order. It wasnât until then the bartender walked over and just read the list of ciders that were on the board. We saw cups with pineapples in it and asked what it was and she said they were mimosas. She didnât explain that they had other drink options besides what was on the board. Iâm not sure if they even had menus for food or drinks because nothing was offered to us.
Overall, the cider mimosas we had were awesome, but the service was so poor I felt unwelcomed after standing there for so long. We will be giving this place another try later in the year though, so hopefully there will be more...
Read moreWild hare is one of those hidden gems that not a lot of people know about yet. Whenever I think ciders I used to think about angry orchard, which is ridiculously sweet and heavy. This is NOT the case at wild Hare. Their ciders are refreshing and smooth yet pack a punch.
I became an instant customer and have been to Fredericksburg, Warrenton and now Leesburg locations.
Flavor are very unique. Have you ever tired jasmine tea ciders , habanero?, pineapple jalapeño? Very creative concoctions that just work. They also have seasonal limited edition flavors so it's never repetitively boring.
They have a membership club that gets you a monthly growler plus other perks. If you do the math it pays for itself.
Aside from the uniqueness and refreshing flavors customer service has been great in all locations.
I can't say enough great thing about them.
If you are near any of the locations, have a visit and experience their...
Read moreMy youngest daughter has been designated driver for several years as her sister, myself and assorted other family members gathered for family time at various wineries, etc. So she asked to celebrate her 21st birthday at a cidery -- and Wild Hare is a family favorite. The manager had worked with me ahead of time to identify food choices, so they had a delicious assortment of fresh soft pretzels put aside to accommodate our entire group. Abby provided our tastings and subsequent glasses of cider, and patiently took her time with us despite being slammed. The relaxing atmosphere and selection of table games allowed us to just sit back and enjoy the family time and, of course, the pretzels and cider! (Oh, and Caine was a delight as well -- such a...
