We get to the restaurant just after 4:00 on a Saturday. An employee steps up to a register and takes our order, no wait. We get cups for drinks and there are no lids for the medium or small drinks. The area with drinks and condiments is also very dirty. I walk back to the counter and there is a female employee in full culvers uniform just standing between the entrance to go behind the counter and drink fountain. I tell her there are no lids for drinks she replies "I'm not clocked in". Then why are you just standing here?? She doesn't bother to ask one of her coworkers to assist with getting lids. Since she obviously isn't going to help I ask can someone else get lids. She nonchalantly glances around and tells me "they are really busy". So I have to call out to our cashier and ask for lids for our drinks. He stops what he is doing to walk over, open a cabinet give me lids for our drinks then and fill the lids. Then the tables are filthy, I had to clean it for us to sit. Floors are filthy with trash everywhere. Our booth had dried fry sauce or ketchup dried on the wall and window sill. The employee that brought our food practically dropped the tray on the table and walked off. The bun on my burger was burned. What a terrible visit. The two stars are for the Coke Zero which was about the only good thing about this visit. Won't consider this...
Read moreFirst time visiting here and I was not impressed at all! Our shakes were halfway melted by the time they made it to us. How was very clear that I wanted no cheese on my burger and what did it come out with cheese. I'm sure they could tell since we didn't know how to order or what they called things that we have never been there before I would have thought they would have put a little effort into their service when there was obviously just a lack of interest in even being at work that day. Not only was I not impressed my husband who can't eat gluten because of celiac disease was extremely unimpressed when his son was hamburger came out on a bed of lettuce that was shredded. Most restaurants should be aware that silly act disease is quite a big deal to some individuals and I would think they would be conscious of that and have lettuce leaves on standby like all other great restaurants. If it wasn't a Sundays we would have headed to JCW's in a heartbeat. Same price way better quality in Burgers Shakes and french fries. The fry sauce was tart and not in a good way it tasted like it has been sitting out for a few days. Change is good but not when you're sure the mayonnaise is spoiled in the fry sauce. Completely unimpressed will not come back here again! And we like to be eat out so we would have been easy targets as...

Why do I keep trying this place!? Tonight my wife found a metal shaving in her hamburger (over 1" long) called and they said all they could do is replace it.
The week before, my burger was literally raw.
Will NEVER go back!
I need to learn my lesson. Sadly this place has great food but don't drive away as you'll be sorry!!!
I've been eating at Culvert at least a few time a month for almost two years. It has always been great food. As of recent, (within the last couple months) I have noticed the quality of food declining as well as their customer service. Typically I do drive through as I have a kid and it's easier. I'm now more cautious about their drive thru as I have found my burger has been over cooked (black, and tasted burnt) and have even been shorted food I ordered and paid for. Not easy to drive back and have them fix it. When I call them, they say they will just give me an "extra fries" next time. lol. My last three orders have not been what they used to be. Also, their speaker/microphone at their drive thru seems to be not working as it should due to them not hearing my order correctly after two times and I have to keep repeating myself. I feel more should be done than an "extra fry" as one order is plenty. Hopefully others aren't experiencing...
