Right along Hwy 121 is this Gem Called 4Thirteen. 1st impression is that they have a Patio .. that's good for cigar smokers .. there's also TV outside .. As I walk in the door, I noticed there wasn't a Host and we sat ourselves at the bar. I noticed the bartenders on their phones not paying attention to those who walked in as well. I ordered a Dos XX bottle beer and my friend next to me some mixed drinks// shots ... all fine ...
Fast forward : I ordered food, the bartender and some other employees that I'm assuming as wait staff was having a Little Spat over the bar drinks from a previous customer and it was all behind me as the bartender attempted to take my order from my chair (She came around from the bar) .. the only issue is that the 2 girls Fed their drama in my ear to the Bartender as I'm trying to tell the bartender my food order .. I heard things I don't think I was suppose to hear and they had my right ear ringing (Plus the music/ Football game playing made them louder) ..... as a 1st time customer, it was VERY unprofessional to hear the work drama. I became annoyed as the 2 girls stood there for 6 minutes going back and forth with the bartender as she took my order .. I asked them if they could take it outside or to a corner because as a customer, I'm trying to order food and I can't hear the bartender as she's providing me with options. The bartender apologized and the 2 other girls FINALLY went outside to handle the Dispute they had. I believe that if the girls were more focused on customer clientele instead of their phones or work drama in front of customers I can see the success this place will have for a very long time. It has Great potential and a Fun Vibe! TRULY... I HAD FUN!
Food : I ordered a Smothered pork chop , Mac N Cheese , and Yams ...
Now! As a Food Reviewer with a YouTube channel and Tik Tok .. the food was good!
The smothered pork chop was very tender and my plate was full of gravy. The candied yams were really hot and seasoned well also buttery. The mac and cheese also had really good flavor and the food was good. 1 slight downfall regarding presentation.... I had to send my plate back one time for my pork chop because it wasn't to my liking of heat temperature. Food was so good I cleared my plate! I also tried my friends oxtails with rice and gravy, they were really good and tender as well. I was not a huge fan of the greens, they could use a little work and seasoning ... Another friend of mine had a catfish fillet and I sampled that as well, the catfish was breaded very well and seasoned thoroughly. Nice and crispy.
Oveall this place I WOULD recommend for a Fun Friday night or weekend atmosphere! I believe they have karaoke as well and they have multiple Tvs for Football and sports games. A Jukebox that you can pick songs from .. the ladies room was well decorated and maintained as well.
Thank you 4Thirteen and please continue to be successful! I truly wish you all the...

As a business owner, it's your responsibility to separate personal feelings from professional conduct. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case during my visit.
I've since found other establishments in Texas that are far more welcoming and respectful to their guests. While I have no intention of returning to your business, I do hope this experience encourages some reflection. Regardless of personal associations or dynamics, every customer deserves to be treated with hospitality, professionalism, and respect.
The Worst Experience I’ve Had in Texas – Stay Far Away from 4Thirteen Kitchen & Sports Lounge
First impressions matter, but second impressions are everything — and 4Thirteen Kitchen & Sports Lounge failed miserably.
When I first moved to Dallas, someone recommended this spot. I visited, had a great time, and the drinks were good — before I had any personal connection to anyone affiliated with the place. Fast forward: I met someone who was going through a divorce (verified), and he started taking me to his usual hangouts, including 4Thirteen.
The second time around, everything changed — and not for the better. As soon as the bartender realized I was with him, she deliberately made my drink with no alcohol. My companion even tasted it himself and said it was terrible. He asked her to make it the right way — only for me to receive a second drink with black particles floating in it, as if something had been intentionally put in there. It was disgusting and alarming.
Naturally, I stopped going for a while after that experience.
Tonight, I made the mistake of going back, only to encounter an entirely new level of unprofessionalism — this time from the owner herself. Despite the bar being painfully slow and my friend spending hundreds of dollars to support her business, the owner showed me nothing but hostility and outright disrespect.
After seeing my friend hug and kiss me, the owner — clearly intoxicated — rolled her eyes at me, whispered something to her friend while looking me up and down, and rolled her eyes again. It was immature, mean-spirited, and flat-out embarrassing behavior for someone representing a business, especially towards a new Dallas resident just trying to enjoy a night out.
I left immediately. I was appalled.
If this is how 4Thirteen treats paying customers — especially new residents looking to support local businesses — then it deserves every bit of the bad reputation it’s clearly earning.
I would give this place a negative million stars if I could. If you’re new to Texas — STAY FAR AWAY. There are far better places in Dallas that understand professionalism, hospitality, and basic decency. This is not...
