OMG..... THE manager Bart was HORRIBLE....I normally go to Apple Bees at this location on 35 & Round Grove because Of the convenience and the previous service that I've received. However today from the time I ordered the strawberry mango swirl Margarita with salt on the rim to the time to pay the ticket was a horrible experience!!! For one the waiter was new and we try to go easy and slow with him I ever come to find out he was the 1 that was messing up our order & at the in messed up the ticket.
On the 1st strawberry Mango swirl Margarita I asked for salt he came back with sugar. It was so much sugar on the rim to where I thought I was about to get diabetes just by looking at it. So I asked for a second one with salt on it thinking it was gonna be correct when he brought it back. But the 2nd go round another person brought the Margarita and it was a strawberry Margarita with salt on the rim. So personally I had to laugh it off to keep From getting frustrated and ask for the manager to see if there was an issue with a bartender or with the new waiter that was serving us . Not to realize when the manager came over he Was no better then the new waiter, Jess F. which Was Serving us. He never Author to accommodate for the air that the bartender made numerous times and stead he took the drink and never offered to at least try to make a nother drink in the replacement. He only just remove the drink off the bill. So my friend had to go over there to the bar Personally to see what was going on and the bartender remade the drink which Lewis excellent after the 3rd try but did I realize the owner still made me pay for the drink on the ticket. Ben it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering it and then when we got the food they automatically put bacon on the sour cream of the bake potato my friend ordered which that had to go back because she don't eat pork. Then when it was time to pay the check it was an overcharge we had to bring their attention of in my friend ordered a to go pasta but they left the breadsticks out. So we had to request the bread sticks they go with the pasta just so we could make sure that it went with the meal. Not one time again did the manager try to accommodate anything and expected for us to pay the full balance that was due on the check so instead I have contact corporate to inform them of their manager that carries the title at their restaurant along with not being able to train the employee more properly to understand how to take an order properly. Then last but not least we'll got us was when our waiter in the middle as if he could go to the bathroom why we was his manager we are just a customer. So I swear the unprofessionalism was there and will not return due to...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews, but my recent experience with this restaurant via UberEats was so disheartening that I felt compelled to share. I have always believed that customer service can make or break a dining experience, even if it's from the comfort of your home. Unfortunately, what should have been a simple request turned into a frustrating ordeal that left a sour taste in my mouth, and it wasn't from lacking garlic butter.
I was looking forward to a cozy evening in with my favorite meal from this restaurant, but upon placing my order through UberEats, I noticed there was no option to add garlic butter—a small but crucial component of my dining pleasure. Believing it to be a minor oversight, I promptly called the restaurant, hoping for a quick fix. To my surprise, I was met with a response that was anything but accommodating.
The person on the other end of the line, who identified himself as the general manager, flatly refused to add garlic butter to my order, citing a $1.30 charge. Money wasn't the issue—I was more than willing to pay the additional cost. However, he informed me that he couldn't process payment over the phone. When I pointed out the lack of options to add it through the app and website, I naively suggested that perhaps, given the circumstances, the garlic butter could be included as a courtesy.
His reply was as cold as the missing condiment: "nothing in life is free". It was not the cost but the curt dismissal and unhelpful attitude that truly upset me. The so-called solution offered? Place a new order over the phone and drive to pick it up myself—defeating the entire purpose of using a delivery service like UberEats.
This interaction was not only inconvenient but also displayed a disappointing lack of customer service skills, especially from someone who holds the title of general manager. It's unfortunate that what should have been a trivial issue escalated to a point where I am compelled to write this review.
I wish I could comment on the food, but the absence of garlic butter and the distasteful service overshadowed any potential enjoyment. If you're considering ordering from here, be prepared for an inflexible service that prioritizes a rigid policy over customer satisfaction. One star is given solely because zero stars is not an option. Needless to say, I will not be returning and I suggest you take your business—and taste buds—somewhere they are appreciated.
Update: I recently visited this place in person and had a much...
Read moreLast night after seeing the show we stopped in at this restaurant. We were the only couple waiting to be to seat which is strange because it took an extended amount of time before it registered that we were waiting to be ( strike one).
When we were finally seated no one came to take our drink order or ask if we need it anything for more than 10 minutes ( strike two). There really wasn't a reason for this because they were less than 50 people in the restaurant with multiple servers and a manager.
After waiting a while to receive our food when it came I was greatly disappointed. I ordered the all you can eat fried shrimp that was supposed to come with french fries and coleslaw. When my dinner my shrimp or undercooked because the batter was doughy. I resorted to peeling it off and just eating the shrimp with cocktail sauce. Our waiter had two large parties outside of us that seemed to dominate the night because it was like we were on a deserted island all alone in our section.
We didn't even get our water and drinks refilled until right before leaving. Being that I paid for all you can eat I decided to try a different entree since the shrimp was undercooked the first. I ordered the garlic Parmesan boneless shrimp but they were so salty I couldn't finish them. So basically, I tried to get full on French fries. I asked my server for the coleslaw and he never came back with a response nor offered anything else. I asked the lady I assume was the manager and she came back to say they were out of it for the day. That was supposed to be a part of my paid for meal and since they ran out I feel something else should have been offered in it's place.
Someone needs to go over procedures at this location from seating to wait staff service and or help when a server is stretched too far because this was the worst experience I've had in a very long time dining out.
My husband ordered the ribeye steak that came out looking like a breakfast steak with three broccoli crowns and mashed potatoes. He said it had a decent taste, wasn't tough but was not over seasoned. Broccoli is not an expensive vegetable so why were they were so stingy, I don't know? Most restaurants give large portions of broccoli.
My advice is that anyone going here late in the evening....sit at the bar because those people were taking care of. Come on now this location needs...
