I dined here last Tuesday around 5PM and was beyond disappointed in my visit. Let me first say that I’ve dined at many McAllisters here in Texas and out of state, and have come to enjoy their food and level of service. I’ve been to this particular location twice, my first time being the first week of June.
As we walked up to the doors we could see dirty tables with food from the outside. I figured they hadn’t gotten around to getting them yet. My boyfriend and I waited for a bit as two ChikFilA workers flirted with the young girl at the counter while placing their order. We stood there 7-10 mins while they giggled back and forth. It wasn’t until later we realized it was a large order. No biggie, just at least acknowledge that we’re here.
We get to the counter and order our food. The counter is full of sticky drinks from the bottom of cups throughout the day; this was easily seen in the light. Not sure how none of the workers noticed. It seemed like all the staff was leaving because the three people with McAllister shirts gathered their things and made eye contact before walking out the door.
On the way to our table we realize nearly every table had food under it, on the chairs, something spilled on the floor, and stains on the tables. Being that I’ve worked in various roles, I understand it can get hectic; however the entire restaurant was gross. Mind you we had a similar experience when we came in June, but there were patrons everywhere so we assumed they were just busy.
The cashier goes to the back to help the chef as it seems she and another guy now speaking with the chikfila men are the only folks there. I’m guessing he’s a manager as he never went to the kitchen to help her. I went up for ranch and the ramekin they gave me had food on it. I didn’t make a fuss as I put it to the side and waited again for our food. Immediately, I noticed red sauce or juice all over my plate! It’s on the sides of my plate, under my soup cup and near my potato, all dried up like it had been there for a while. How did they not see this on the walk from the kitchen to my table?!
I kindly return to the counter where the girl is back to flirting with the same boys again. She asks if I need anything. I tell her my plate has red juice all over it and she claims it’s from strawberries. I didn’t order nor have I seen strawberries! What difference does it make? I was given a dirty plate. So I stand there telling her I didn’t order strawberries. She huffs and says I guess that means you want a new plate? I nod my head yes as I don’t want to say any of the things I’m thinking. With much attitude she takes the plate and condescendingly tells the chef to replate my food, and to change his gloves, saying there’s red sauce on my plate. He looks at me and I tell him sorry, he nods. She rolls her eyes and offers me to have a seat. I decline as I plan to wait for my food right there at the counter. This time chips are added for my soup as they were missing when my food was first delivered to me.
We eat.
I know it may not matter to management, the owner, nor the cashier, but I vow to not return to this location and plan to tell those I know in Lewisville to not waste their time here. Mind you during our entire visit a mop bucket full of water is sitting not so far from our table but obviously from the looks of them on their phones they had no plans to use it. I will also say that the three other people that came in also commented on how dirty the place was and sat near us as it was the cleanest of the sections. What a...
Read moreI walked in to place my order being I was having difficulty submitting order online. There was no line when I walked in so I walked up to counter close to the end and ask where do I place my order. Being there were two people at the front but were occupied getting another order together. I walked over to the pickup register and a lady from the back asked if she could help me. I said yes I’ve asked twice where to place my order. Meanwhile the entire time I’m there and asking these questions I’m still trying to get the online app to accept my payment to avoid having to repeat my order being they seem to be too busy. The lady ask me what I wanted to order and I told her just a minute I have it online and I’ll just try to submit payment again. Payment was accepted and I told her that’s okay I placed it online. I walked off went to restroom and when I came back out the same lady stated she was the manager and that she looked at the camera and saw that i was on my phone and I walked up to counter i stead of getting in line. I told her there was not a line and yes i was on the phone trying to submit my order but it wouldn’t take my expiration date I was submitting. She then informed me she was giving me a refund and i told her i don’t want a refund i don’t have a problem paying for my food. She then responded she didn’t want no bad review. I responded and told her I wasn’t thinking about submitting a review and i hadn’t thought nothing else of it once I placed my order. Well after all was said and done she went to get my order came back and said I know your name stated my name and told me don’t come back. I in return said my full name including middle name. I have come here all the time with no issues but I’m assuming they having a horrible day. For her to give me my money back instantly without me initially saying anything negative she realized after looking at the camera I wasn’t wrong but had to play the tough guy. I even refused the refund multiple times. She seems to need it more than me with...
